However, Xiao Chen found it hard to smile. The Twin-Armed Demonic Ape had already returned. He would not be able to avoid a fight.
A soft but sharp sound of air breaking came from behind him. He clenched both his hands tightly and quickly circulated one thousand tons of force into a fist.
The moment Xiao Chen turned around, he sent out a punch. A loud sound rang out; this punch managed to intercept the Twin-Armed Demonic Ape’s palm strike.
A surging force poured out wildly, moving like sharp blades into the surroundings. Several towering trees fell over as a result.
Xiao Chen did not budge at all, but the Twin-Armed Demonic Ape flew back for a hundred meters, screaming in pain. Then, it nimbly flipped in the air and turned into a black shadow charging at him again.
He smiled coldly and circulated the Dragon Claw Fist. An azure-colored Dragon Head roared and burst forth with a ferocious force, knocking the Twin-Armed Demonic Ape back a second time.
This time, Xiao Chen took the initiative to charge over without giving the Twin-Armed Demonic Ape time to recover. An Azure Dragon image appeared under his feet and carried him like a strong wind to the Twin-Armed Demonic Ape.
Then, he sent out another Berserk Dragon Claw at the Twin-Armed Demonic Ape, leaving five claw marks on its chest with an azure-colored Dragon Claw.
Xiao Chen frowned slightly. Unexpectedly, the Berserk Dragon Claw did not even injure the Twin-Armed Demonic Ape. Its defense was preposterous.
The Twin-Armed Demonic Ape roared and charged over again.
Xiao Chen formed a Dragon Head with his left hand and a Dragon Claw with his right, creating a complete dragon image. Then, he pushed both his hands forward.
“Berserk Dragon Break!”
A dragon image formed of pure Vital Qi quickly clashed with the Twin-Armed Demonic Ape, knocking it back once more.
Not even bothering to observe the results, Xiao Chen immediately turned around and fled. The Twin-Armed Demonic Ape had an absurdly strong defense; dragging the fight out would not have a good ending.
“Boom! Boom! Boom!”
Xiao Chen just flew straight on, crashing through the trees in his way and turning them into sawdust.
Such a commotion startled all the Demonic Beasts in the forest. Before long, a huge army of Demonic Beasts was chasing after Xiao Chen. If they caught up, they would tear him to bits.
Xiao Chen executed his Movement Technique to its limits, dodging all the attacks and reaching the outskirts of the forest with much difficulty.
A scarlet light flickered on his forehead, and the scarlet throne appeared. He quickly leaped onto it and turned into a beam of scarlet light moving into the distance.
I finally escaped. Xiao Chen released his bated breath. Then, he could not help but say to Ao Jiao, who was planting the Lunar Cassia Tree sapling, “You say that this Lunar Cassia Tree is a sapling. How long will it take to mature?”
Ao Jiao replied, “Not long. Under normal circumstances, it should just take two or three hundred years. However, for it to reach flowering age would probably take five hundred years.”
Five hundred years…
After fighting so hard to obtain it, he could profit from it only five hundred years later. Xiao Chen nearly vomited blood at that thought. Fortunately, he could console himself with the notion that it would be useful in the future.
At first, he could have simply obtained the Monarch Blood Grass and left quickly. Now, he had exerted so much effort, but he could avail of the thing he got only after five hundred years.
Xiao Chen felt somewhat dissatisfied as he asked, “In that case, what value does this Spirit Tree have? How can it be used?”
Within the Immortal Spirit Ring, Ao Jiao’s heart filled with joy. As she cared for the Lunar Cassia Tree sapling, she smiled and replied, “The Lunar Cassia Tree will produce Lunar Cassia Flowers. With just one flower, you will be able to recover from any sort of internal injury right away.
“As for the Lunar Cassia Fruit that forms after a thousand years, it has an even greater effect. It can increase a cultivator’s recovery ability permanently. Don’t forget that most cultivators do not temper their physical bodies.”
A permanent increase in recovery ability held a strong attraction for cultivators who did not temper the physical body. Even if Xiao Chen had no use for the Lunar Cassia Tree, he could sell its flowers and fruits to obtain more resources. In the future, he would not lack Spirit Stones.
However, it took five hundred years to flower and another five hundred years to bear fruit. Xiao Chen could only slowly wait for this absolute treasure to form, holding on for a thousand years.
When Ao Jiao saw Xiao Chen’s appearance, she covered her small mouth with her hands and giggled. “Hehe! Don’t feel down. Since I got you to do it, how could I make you wait for a thousand years?”
Hope kindled in Xiao Chen’s heart. He asked, “Could there be some way to speed up the growth of the Lunar Cassia Tree?”
“Naturally there is. Don’t forget that your Immortal Spirit Ring is a peak grade Immortal Spirit Ring. It descended from the Immortal Epoch in its complete form. Compared to the latter imitations and mended ones, it is much, much stronger.”
Ao Jiao continued unhurriedly, “As long as you obtain a Spirit Vein of a higher rank, any Spirit Trees, including the Lunar Cassia, will grow faster.”
A Spirit Vein was not that easy to obtain. However, at least he had a strategy now. At any rate, he would not really have to wait for a thousand years.
Xiao Chen could not help but ponder this problem. Then, as he took out the Monarch Blood Grass, his downcast face finally revealed a smile.
Regardless, he had managed to obtain the precious Monarch Blood Grass.
He rinsed the Monarch Blood Grass and immediately placed it in his mouth to chew slowly. Then, he refined that ancient sovereign’s bloodline within it bit by bit.
Xiao Chen’s blood surged as if it was lava. He could distinctly feel his Qi and blood continuously growing stronger, his aura becoming more refined and powerful.
The vast, respected, ancient sovereign’s bloodline slowly changed his state of mind and aura.
After that, he managed to obtain nine more Monarch Blood Grasses from other forbidden lands with the aid of the Savage Battlefield map, getting through daunting experiences without mishap.
After consuming ten Monarch Blood Grasses in the Savage Battlefield, Xiao Chen felt his physical body undergo an internal renewal.
Such a renewal did not refer to an enhancement of the bones, skin, or internal organs, or an increase in his physical strength. Instead, it was more of a feeling of vitality.
In the past, Xiao Chen’s body had only been close to a Rank 1 Sage Body. Now, he had completely attained the standards of a Rank 1 Sage Body. Furthermore, he far exceeded the standards in certain ways.
The way Xiao Chen viewed particular problems unconsciously changed somewhat as a result of the wondrous feeling that came with the advancement of his physical body.
As for the remaining Monarch Blood Grasses, obtaining them would be rather hard. They were either too far or would take too much effort to get. Furthermore, doing so would be more dangerous.
Hence, Xiao Chen gave up on this thought. Besides, he was already very satisfied with the ten Monarch Blood Grasses.
In the past, when Nuan Muyun obtained a Monarch Blood Grass, she could not even bear to use it. However, Xiao Chen consumed it like he was eating a regular meal, ingesting ten Monarch Blood Grasses in quick succession.
If this were known, it would be really interesting to see the scared expressions of some people.
We should go to the True Dragon Cave next, right? They have probably arrived at the core zone already, Ao Jiao said from the world in the Immortal Spirit Ring.
At this moment, Xiao Chen was just a peak Medial Grade Martial Monarch. Compared to the sect disciples who were here for experiential training, he would be considered nothing. There were at least eight hundred, if not a thousand, people with cultivations higher than his.
However, after consuming the ten Monarch Blood Grasses, no matter how much Xiao Chen withdrew his aura, he gave off a feeling that would evoke irrepressible fear in the depths of one’s heart.
He intended to use his aura first to suppress his opponent and take the initiative.
Xiao Chen said calmly, “There is something that I need to do. It is time to take out the Netherworld Flower in the Immortal Spirit Ring.”
Since he was going to the True Dragon Cave, if he did not have sufficient trump cards that could shock others, no matter how many treasures there were, he would not be able to get any.
Ao Jiao, who was within the Immortal Spirit Ring, had been prepared long ago. She gently waved her right hand, and the white flame within the Netherworld Flower’s core slowly drifted out of the ring.
A white light in Xiao Chen’s left eye flickered as he released the pearl-sized Lunar True Flame’s Origin Flame. Then, he began the process of absorbing the Netherworld Flame.
Among the Yin-attributed flames, the Netherworld Flame ranked quite highly. After swallowing it, Xiao Chen’s Lunar True Flame would improve remarkably.
In the past, for the sake of ensuring a balance between Yin and Yang, Xiao Chen had to suppress the Purple Thunder True Fire’s Origin Flame somewhat, because the Lunar True Flame was too weak.
As a result, Xiao Chen could not bring out the true might of the Taiji Yinyang Flame Diagram.
The pearl-sized Lunar True Flame’s Origin Flame swallowed the Netherworld Flame, continuously giving off sizzling sounds. The white Origin Flame grew visibly larger bit by bit.
Knowing that he could not rush the process, Xiao Chen controlled the Lunar True Flame leisurely; he was neither anxious nor nervous.
Time slowly went by. When the Lunar True Flame finished swallowing the Netherworld Flame, its pearl-sized Origin Flame had grown to the size of a baby’s fist.
The pale-white flame floated in the air, giving off a ghastly aura. Even though the temperature did not drop, it made others tremble despite the lack of chill.
Then, with a thought, a beam of purple light quickly came out from Xiao Chen’s right eye. At this moment, he released the Purple Thunder True Fire’s Origin Flame without holding back.
Suddenly, the purple and white flames started to chase each other quickly. Soon, a Taiji Diagram appeared.
At this moment, Xiao Chen perfectly merged the strong Yin and Yang flames. His Mental Energy drained continuously.
Yinyang, four divisions, the eight trigrams, and other scenes appeared around the Taiji Yinyang Flame Diagram. Taiji gave birth to Yinyang, which produced the four divisions; the four divisions gave birth to the eight trigrams, which created everything.
The Taiji Diagram formed by the Yin and Yang flames was the crystallization of the ancient Chinese sages’ wisdom. The Taiji Diagram materialized the scene of creation and how everything came about from nothing.
[TL Note: One version of the creation story from the ancient Chinese is the story of Pangu. The scene of creation referred to here is that story. Rather than spend multiple pages explaining it, here is a wiki link for the explanation:
Amidst the darkness, Xiao Chen seemed to have witnessed creation, a panorama of everything arising from nothing. All sorts of scenes of the mortal world unfolded. The Taiji Diagram contained everything.
After the Taiji Yinyang Flame Diagram achieved the perfect balance, it advanced to a whole new level, undergoing a significant qualitative change.
Xiao Chen stretched his hand out and pushed forward. In that instant, space and time froze as the Taiji Yinyang Flame Diagram moved forward. Heaven shook, the earth rumbled, space trembled.
It seemed like the entirety of space moved. At this moment, even if there were a mountain in front blocking him, the Taiji Yinyang Flame Diagram would completely uproot it.
Suddenly, the Taiji Yinyang Flame Diagram gave off a bright golden light illuminating the dark space as bright as day.
In the next moment, the flame diagram exploded. A horrifying energy wave spread in all directions, forming golden ripples.
The air seemed like water undulating outwards. The golden light was like paint. Space shook violently.
Only after a long time did the horrifying energy waves slowly fade. The golden light vanished. However, transparent ripples remained visible in the air, flickering nonstop.
When Ao Jiao, who was in the Immortal Spirit Ring, saw this scene, she exclaimed in shock, “This move is becoming more and more powerful. No wonder you have the confidence to challenge Bai Wuxue in half a year!”
Purple and white lights flickered and returned to Xiao Chen’s eyes. Then, he said, “Let’s go. Right now, I should have no problems escaping any of the seven giants.
“If I run into Bai Wuxue this time, I will not need to rely on First Senior Sister again. If he wants to take forcible action, I will not mind giving him a shocking surprise.”
The Dragon Burial Mound, where countless True Dragon Caves hid under a vast mountain range:
This place had existed for a very long time, for several myriads of years or even more. It was impossible to see or guess the splendor of this place in the past.
It seemed like a faint voice of a True Dragon sang the legends of old together with a dignified poetic saga.
How long precisely were ten thousand years? How many days had to pass?
No matter how glorious this race was or how long its legend descended, in the end, it was now just a pile of dirt. As time passed, it became only a myth for the later generations to reflect upon.
The resting place of the ancient True Dragons should be serene, solemn, and peaceful. Now, it was dilapidated; signs of the cultivators’ destruction were visible everywhere.
A scarlet light flashed in the horizon. A sovereign’s aura spread out, blowing away the clouds in front and lingering for a long time.
Occasionally, some foolish Demonic Beasts would howl at the scarlet light, wanting to eat the white-robed man on the throne.
However, before these Demonic Beasts got close, a bright purple light would appear. As electricity flickered, it turned into thousands of sharp sabers, filling them full of holes.
When the scarlet light flashed by, it would immediately crush the mutilated body into a clump of blood fog vanishing into the air.
As the scarlet clouds carried the throne, a long meteor tail trailed behind in the air, not scattering for a long time. Seen from the ground, it looked like a long rainbow slashing through the air as fast as lightning.
Long Bing suddenly held her stomach. “Ah, my stomach is hurting all of a sudden. I have to go to the washroom. Yu-Yan, you go let Xia Lei out.” She turned and ran off once she finished speaking.
“Huh? Hey!” Tang Yu-Yan was nonplussed.
Shi Bo-Ren coughed. “What are you standing there for? Go.”
“Why me?” Tang Yu-Yan looked gloomy. Whoever went to let him out would bear the brunt of his anger. She wasn’t even the one who started it, so why her?
Shi Bo-Ren put on a stern face. “Not you? Is it going to be me, then? Now, don’t mention me to him. If he asks, tell him I went on business to Russia yesterday.”
Tang Yu-Yan was speechless. Chapter 278 – Philanthropist
The concave metal door was suddenly opened and the refreshingly sexy Tang Yu-Yan walked into Xia Lei’s view. He had no smile for her.
“What the hell’s this?” said Xia Lei angrily, “What are you guys doing? Are you treating me like a criminal?”
Tang Yu-Yan put on a smiling face. “Mr Xia, my sincerest apologies… This was a misunderstanding.”
“Misunderstanding?” Xia Lei snorted. “You think I’m a three-year-old?”
Tang Yu-Yan bit the bullet and explained, “This really was a misunderstanding. This room is our… multi-purpose guest lounge. It’s still in the beta phase. Long Bing went out for an urgent mission so she got me to come take care of you.”
Lies like these could only appease three-year-olds but she had no better excuse. Her rating of Long Bing and Shi Bo-Ren fell to the pits as she spoke.
“No need!” Xia Lei strode towards the lift, looking like he didn’t want to hear any explanation.
“You…” Tang Yu-Yan didn’t know what to do.
Xia Lei ignored her and bumped her shoulder as he swept past her.
Tang Yu-Yan suddenly reached out and grabbed his arm.
Xia Lei stopped in his tracks and looked at her. His face was still dark with anger. “What do you want?”
“Don’t be mad. You’re not a kid, right? If you’re a kid then I’ll buy you sweets, okay?” Tang Yu-Yan smiled and put some sugar in her voice.
Acting cute and sweet was the most effective method for a woman to use on an angry man.
Xia Lei’s expression softened. He didn’t want to take it out on Tang Yu-Yan either but it was necessary. He wanted Shi Bo-Ren, Long Bing and Tang Yu-Yan to know that he had a temper and if something like this happened again, he wouldn’t just throw a simple fit like this. He would say ‘bye bye’ to Bureau 101!
“You’re not mad anymore?” Tang Yu-Yan asked tentatively.
A small smile appeared in the corners of Xia Lei’s mouth. “I’ll let it slide this time. I won’t come here ever again if you guys close me up again.”
This line was for Tang Yu-Yan to hear, and for Long Bing and Shi Bo-Ren too.
“Look at you. Don’t be so petty, okay?” Tang Yu-Yan grinned. “I told you, this was a misunderstanding.”
“What mission did Long Bing go on?” said Xia Lei.
“She… Uh, we received a report that two terrorists sneaked back to the country. She went to clear it up.”
“And Boss Shi?”
“My godfather, he… he went to Russia on business. Our countries have been exchanging some information recently.” Tang Yu-Yan lied without batting an eye.
“Then there’s no need for me to stay here. Send me out. I can’t go out without the passwords,” said Xia Lei.
“Okay, I’ll treat you to a drink.” Tang Yu-Yan deliberately acted all chummy with him. “I haven’t thanked you yet for modifying that sniper rifle for me. I happen to have no tasks today. Let’s have a good drink, my treat.”
“Okay, but I want to go to Angel Orphanage first. Want to come with me?” said Xia Lei.
“No problem, I’ll go with you,” said Tang Yu-Yan with a smile.
Shi Bo-Ren and Long Bing watched the monitors in an office. The monitors showed Xia Lei and Tang Yu-Yan walking towards the lift.
Shi Bo-Ren frowned. “Will he believe a lie like that?”
Long Bing smiled wryly. “He’s a smart guy. You think he’ll believe it?”
“Then why doesn’t he expose the lie?”
“He’s letting us step out of an embarrassing situation, Boss Shi. Didn’t you hear his last sentence? If we close him up again he won’t come back. This was him hinting that if we do this to him again he’ll quit,” said Long Bing.
“Then again, we did go overboard this time. He has contributed so much to the nation and we haven’t given him anything. Instead we investigate him. I’d be uncaring too if it were me,” said Long Bing.
“This is our duty.”
“Duty.” Long Bing repeated the word, her expression sombre.
Shi Bo-Ren sighed. “He’s strong. He can be a pillar of the nation if trained well. If he’s tempted by the enemy and steps into the wrong camp – there will be trouble then.”
“He is not that sort of person,” said Long Bing.
“You must always remember that nothing in this world is permanent, especially a person’s feelings. You need to watch over him and make sure he is not negatively influenced. The Gu clan has collapsed so he has no opponents in China. He can build his military factory in peace. Bring him out on missions when his military factory’s operating normally. You need to polish this gem; train him,” said Shi Bo-Ren.
Long Bing paused. “Bring him on missions. He… He has money, he has men. Would he go on dangerous missions with me? I think not.”
Shi Bo-Ren gave Long Bing a glare. “You have blocks for brains sometimes. You’re a woman, remember? Is it difficult for a woman to get a man to do something? Look at Yu-Yan. The punk melted when she acted cute. Can’t you learn that?”
Long Bing was speechless.
Shi Bo-Ren folded his muscular arms. “Try it on me.”
“I… need to go to the washroom again.” Long Bing turned and walked off.
Acting cute like Tang Yu-Yan was something less acceptable than death for Long Bing.
A Chevrolet Suburban stopped outside the gates of Angel Orphanage half an hour later. Xia Lei and Tang Yu-Yan alighted. Xia Lei felt a twinge of melancholy as he looked at the old and broken orphanage and thought of Sang Qing-Xin and Sang Yue-Yue.
He did not know what happened to Danny in the end but he could foresee that Sang Qing-Xin and Sang Yue-Yue would only be able to reunite with him after many years, even if he did not die. Sang Yue-Yue would be a mother herself by that time, wouldn’t she?
The world was like this. A kind woman like Sang Qing-Xin was not able to have her happiness, and an innocent, adorable child like Sang Yue-Yue was not able to have her father around while growing up, yet those vile, greedy people led superior lifestyles, had luxurious cars and riches. It wasn’t fair.
Xia Lei found Sang Qing-Xin in one of the run-down classrooms teaching Chinese to a group of about ten grubby children. She held pictures of a bird, a fish, the sun and so on for the word-matching lesson. Sang Yue-Yue was also in the classroom. She stayed in a corner, playing with a tattered teddy bear.
The children had not one stitch of decent clothing on them. The clothes were all donated – some too big, some too small. The sight of them made one’s heart ache.
The children were learning earnestly and Xia Lei and Tang Yu-Yan’s appearance disturbed their learning. The children looked at them and smiled, saying in chorus, “Hello Uncle, hello Auntie.”
Their smiles pulled at Xia Lei’s heartstrings. “Hello, hello.”
“Mr Xia, Miss… Hello.” Sang Qing-Xin greeted them too.
“I hope I’m not disturbing you?” said Xia Lei politely.
“It’s all right. Children, please do your own activities.” Sang Qing-Xin left them with an instruction and walked out of the classroom.
Xia Lei and Tang Yu-Yan went with her.
“Come have a seat in my office,” said Sang Qing-Xin politely.
“No thanks. Take us around your orphanage and we can chat as we go,” said Xia Lei.
“Okay, please come with me.” Sang Qing-Xin brought Xia Lei and Tang Yu-Yan around the orphanage.
Angel Orphanage had no support from charitable organisations and no governmental assistance. It relied on the kindness and donations of others and thus was very simply set up and had almost no decent facilities. Xia Lei’s heart ached at the sight.
“Is my husband’s wounds any better, Mr Xia?” Sang Qing-Xin had been dying to ask him that.
Tang Yu-Yan opened her mouth to say something but Xia Lei moved in front of her to cut her off. He nudged her toes with his heel. “Nn, much better. We’ve the best doctors in the nation looking after him. He will recover quickly.”
“Can I see him?” Sang Qing-Xin looked relieved. “I miss him a lot and Yue-Yue too. She keeps asking to see her Daddy.”
“This…” Xia Lei said, “He is still in the Intensive Care Unit. You won’t be able to see him even if you went.”
Sang Qing-Xin was disappointed. “Then when can I see him?”
“Soon, soon, don’t worry.” Xia Lei changed the topic. “Director Sang, I actually came here to see you as the Chairman of Thunder Horse Manufacturing. I want to talk to you about building a new orphanage.”
“Huh?” Sang Qing-Xin stared blankly.
Xia Lei continued, “I want to set up a charity fund for Angel Orphanage. I would like to build a state-of-the-art orphanage for you and the children, will all the facilities. The children will have their own library, bright and spacious dormitories and a cafeteria, and a computer room…”
“Mr Xia, you…” Sang Qing-Xin couldn’t help interrupting but she didn’t know what to say.
Xia Lei smiled. “You’re a good person. You should have some recognition and repayment. I’ll build a new orphanage for you and the children, and I’ll give you fifty million in charity funds. You will have all rights to the money and you can do whatever you want with it.”
“Th, this…” Sang Qing-Xin was so emotional she could not speak.
“Please keep your mobile phone line clear for the next few days. I’ll send someone to contact you and talk to you about building the orphanage and the charity fund,” said Xia Lei.
“Mr Xia, I, I’m not dreaming, am I?” Sang Qing-Xin held her cheeks, suspecting that this was a dream.
“Director Sang, I believe that good things come to good people. Our company, Thunder Horse Manufacturing is going to walk hand-in-hand with you. You will not be alone in your journey of doing good for the community.” Xia Lei reached out a hand to Sang Qing-Xin.
Sang Qing-Xin took his hand with both hands, and tears of gratitude fell from her eyes. Her voice grew husky too. “Mr Xia, no, Chairman Xia, thank you…. Thank you…”
Xia Lei wiped discreetly at the tears in the corners of his eyes after leaving Angel Orphanage.
He didn’t feel bad for a person like Danny but he felt terrible for Sang Qing-Xin, Sang Yue-Yue, and the poor orphans there. Sang Qing-Xin and the children touched him and this was why he was building them a new orphanage on top of the fifty million. The fifty million was because of the deal he had made with Danny and building a new orphanage for the children was because of his kindly feelings.
“I couldn’t tell that you were this sort of person,” said Tang Yu-Yan softly.
Xia Lei looked back at her with a faint smile on his lips. “What sort of person am I?”
“A kind person.” Tang Yu-Yan giggled. “A philanthropist.”
“Don’t make fun of me. I’m no philanthropist.”
“How not? There are many billionaires and gazillionaires in this world and compared to them you’re a poor man. But what you did today is something a lot of billionaires aren’t willing to do. What are you if not a philanthropist?” Tang Yu-Yan stared steadily at Xia Lei, as if she could see his other face.
Xia Lei laughed uncomfortably. “Don’t put a top hat on me. Didn’t you say you’d treat me to a drink?”
Tang Yu-Yan grinned. “I heard Long Bing say your culinary skills are the best. How about this – go to my place and you cook. We’ll have a good meal. We’ll learn from each other afterwards.”
The smile on Xia Lei’s face froze. Chapter 279 – Predator and Meat
The original plan was to first return to Haizhu but Xia Lei changed his mind and went straight to Sichuan. He stayed in the city for two days, inspecting the construction site of the new factory and taking care of the paperwork. Zhou Xiao-Hong had done a good job; she was a local and handled local matters well. With Yin Hao helping, Xia Lei didn’t really have much to worry about as boss.
Xia Lei returned to Haizhu two days later.
Lu Sheng had been discharged and was back at work. Lu Sheng personally opened the gates for Xia Lei when he drove to the company and the two of them chatted for a bit.
Xia Lei called Qin Xiang to his office when he got in.
Guan Ling-Shan made tea for them both. “Have some tea, Chairman Xia, Big Sister Xiang.”
Qin Xiang didn’t mind Guan Ling-Shan calling him ‘Big Sister’ – he looked quite happy about it and had a bashful smile on his face. When Guan Ling-Shan put the cup of tea before him, he reached out and brushed his hand against hers, and a small item in her suit-jacket was transferred to his hand.
Guan Ling-Shan did not discover anything but Xia Lei had seen everything. Qin Xiang had actually stolen a sanitary pad.
Qin Xiang seemed to have been bitten by the item he stole and he threw it at Xia Lei’s leg.
Xia Lei acted like he’d been prodded by electricity and quickly snatched up the sanitary pad. He stood and patted Guan Ling-Shan on the shoulder. “Ling-Shan, it’s been hard on you.”
The rookies were completely shocked.
“This silly buffalo actually can run so fast?”
“Fuck, this isn’t scientific. He’s like a buffalo but he runs faster than a rabbit!”
“Ye Jiaquan, we have underestimated him. We thought he was just a silly buffalo with brute strength, who knew that he was a scud missile.”
The rookies were extremely shocked. Wang Lin and Xiang Wu’s gaze also turned solemn, because they had to admit that with their speeds, there was a high chance that they could not keep up with Ye Jiaquan!
Even Riko was slightly startled, “Indeed, birds of a feather flock together. How can people who hang out with Shi Xiaobai be normal? This ‘Raging Bull Steps’ has the style of ‘Wind Walk’.”
Yama Minamiya nodded and said, “It looks like the quality of rookies in this [Annihilation] batch is not bad. This child’s ‘Raging Bull Steps’ is about to break through to the Exemplary Mastery realm. He is a rare talent.”
While everyone was marveling at Ye Jiaquan’s sudden burst of speed, someone was feeling speechless.
Shi Xiaobai cracked the corner of his lips. He had only wanted Ye Jiaquan to lead the way so that he could retrieve the letter in the rookie dormitories. He never expected Ye Jiaquan to be the one rushing out, as though he would sacrifice his life to bring the letter back.
Of course, this was all his fault for not making things clear, but…
Why is this Steel Ox running so slowly?
“No, this won’t do. It will be too late if this goes on.”
With Shi Xiaobai’s eyes focused, he raised his feet and chased at full speed with Crab Steps. He found Ye Jiaquan’s speed too slow, so a lot of time would definitely be wasted if he waited for Ye Jiaquan to retrieve the letter and return.
As Shi Xiaobai charged out, a scene that made everyone nearly pop their eyes out happened.
Everyone saw Shi Xiaobai take a step forward with his right foot and then another step with his left. He clearly did not seem to take wide strides nor was the frequency very high, but his figure seemed to instantly traverse distances of more than ten meters with each stride. In just a few seconds, he had caught up to Ye Jiaquan. With a pinch of Ye Jiaquan’s arm, he proceeded forward with Ye Jiaquan. The two people rapidly disappeared below the horizon.
This scene was just like a motorcycle cruising. A person who was riding a bicycle was lamenting how fast the motorcycle was, when suddenly a Ferrari charged forward, blocking the motorcycle. At a speed several times faster than the motorcycle, the Ferrari refreshed the person’s world view.
At this moment, everyone was in a daze. They couldn’t even shout out “holy shit”.
Riko was close to tears. Shi Xiaobai’s “Crab Steps” had reached the Dominating Refinement realm, a realm higher than her Meteor Steps!
Yama Minamiya also confirmed his guess that Shi Xiaobai was “IChooseDogLeading”!
And at this moment, the rookies that wanted to beat Shi Xiaobai up immediately broke out into cold sweat. This little bitch was still the same old person that loved to act the pig in order to eat tigers. They had nearly fell for his machination!
… Chapter 126: The adorable you
Under Ye Jiaquan’s guidance, the duo proceeded extremely quickly with Shi Xiaobai’s maniacal “Crab Steps”, surprising many passers-by.
Thankfully, the rookie dormitories were built not far from the training grounds. The two of them spent only three minutes to arrive at the rookie dormitories.
Ye Jiaquan did not dare delay any further and immediately located the letter Chen Lingcun had left for Shi Xiaobai.
When Shi Xiaobai received it, he tore it open while feeling a little nervous.
As he slowly looked at the letter, a handwriting as delicate as a girl’s came into view, but when he saw the first line, Shi Xiaobai was left stunned.
“Dahei…No, I think I should address you as Shi Xiaobai. Sorry, I have been lying to you.”
Shi Xiaobai’s eyebrows gently trembled, but he quickly took a breath and continued reading.
To be able to see through This King’s identity, you are indeed worthy to be one of This King’s most loyal fanatics!
“I saw through you from the very beginning, so I had made many lies, including…the words of respect for ‘Shi Xiaobai’, including that ‘Shi Xiaobai is the hope of all humanity’ line, as well as “maybe Shi Xiaobai has always been by our side’…they were all faked.”
Shi Xiaobai’s eyes stared and felt his breathing stifled. He nearly tore the letter apart.
“Calm down, calm down. This King needs to calm down.”
Shi Xiaobai gritted his teeth to force himself to calm down before he continued reading the letter.
“But I wished everything would be true.”
Shi Xiaobai was slightly stunned as his taut face finally relaxed.
This little Snack sure was naughty.
He kept saying otherwise verbally, but he was honest in his heart. Since he had the heart that aspired to be This King’s follower, he deserved earning the forgiveness of This King.
“Then here comes the question. Which of the above sentences is the truth and which is the lie?”
Shi Xiaobai’s curled his mouth and crumpled the letter into a ball with a deadpan expression.
Ye Jiaquan asked nervously from the side.
“Nothing, This King’s hand was a bit itchy.”
Shi Xiaobai sighed and then spread out the crumpled letter again. He then continued reading the next line.
“Sorry, forgive me for my naughtiness because you are just too adorable, so adorable that I can’t help but want to ‘tease’ you.”
Shi Xiaobai was too deep for tears. He was too bold to actually dare to “tease” him, a King of kings.
Fuck, [Kill Chen Lingcun] might as well be chosen the next time.
Shi Xiaobai kept feeling that this letter did not seem like it was written by Chen Lingcun. The words seemed to permeate a “wretched” flavor. He remembered that Snack was not such a Snack.
Were his true colors exposed because he was leaving?
Shi Xiaobai shook his head and continued reading.
“Forgive me for using the word adorable, because there is really no way for me to find another descriptive word to describe the feelings you give me. In fact, I pondered over the written sentence for a very long time. I thought of countless words but finally still chose the word ‘adorable’.”
“Do you know, when I realized that you were an existence that could remember me, I really felt that you were world’s…fifteenth adorable person,”
“Out of the fourteen people before you, twelve of them are no longer alive. One of them is hiding somewhere I can’t find, and another one is Silly Ye, so…the people that can remember me in this world are only limited to you and them, a total of three people.”
“This is my fate, and also my retribution, so I am not sad because of it. Instead, I am happy from the bottom of my heart because of your appearance.”
Shi Xiaobai was slightly stunned when he read this. He finally understood why dozens of rookies claimed to never have heard of the name “Chen Lingcun”.
So that was the case. But what was the reason why no one else but Ye Jiaquan and him were able to remember Chen Lingcun?
“As for why only you and Silly Ye can remember me, I’m sorry. I’m not sure either. If I know the reason behind it…I probably…probably can’t change anything.”
“Alright, the nonsense and whining above is really not my style. Forgive me for my excited mood when I was writing this letter because I will immediately be looking for someone I have to find. It really can’t wait, so while I’m trying to finish this letter as fast as possible, I still have many things I want to say to you…Next, please read it very seriously and remember it well and keep it on your mind.”
“Shi Xiaobai, do you know why I know you are Shi Xiaobai?”
“That’s because I can smell the odor of a Celestial. Don’t ask me where my nose was manufactured, nor should you ask me what brand of perfume the odor of a Celestial is. In short, your body has a very, very thick odor of a Celestial.”
“The biggest proof is your possession of the Perception of God, but the Celestial odor on you is just too thick, so I believe you might have two or more Six Senses of God. And for a human to have two Six Senses of God…that is already an existence that blasphemes the grace of gods.”
“That is to say, if the Celestials were to discover your existence…Then…they will come to the human world to kill you for the glory of ‘god’.”
“Upon reading to this point, you would likely ask…what is a Celestial? Is it the lackey of a god under This King?”
“Forgive me for writing that as I accidentally laughed.”
“You are really…very adorable.”
“The Celestials are actually just a bunch of aliens. A bunch…of aliens much stronger than humans. They have even ruled over the human world for a period of time. However, after the second apocalypse, large numbers of Celestials were wiped out, so they escaped back to their planet and have considered this planet as a forbidden zone.”
“Haha, actually this matter is taught many times in history classes during middle school. However, the lack of common knowledge you display makes me seriously suspect if you are illiterate, so I specially explained what Celestials are.”
“Shi Xiaobai, the Celestials might view this planet as a forbidden zone, but they have been constantly observing this planet. Once a human with two or more Six Senses of God appears, the human will be considered a threat. They would send people to kill or take the human back, so as to prevent their ethnic blood to live on in the human world.”
“Also…I actually smell a hint of an Infernal from you. I wish that is just my imagination or your enemy will not be limited to the Celestials, but all alien races that fill the vast universe.”
“So, you are currently in grave danger.”
“You need help.”
“No, you need protection.”
“You need a strong person to be your guardian to withstand against ordinary Celestial race members. And the most likely guardian you can find now will be-the three powerhouses of [Gaia].”
“Instructor Hisith’s personality is too weird, and you have already infringed his taboo…Right, I’m really curious about what you were thinking… To actually ask Instructor Hisith for his underwear…”
“Let’s not talk about that. Let’s talk about the next powerhouse-Her Excellency Kali.”
“Her Excellency Kali…is rumored to be very old and very ugly. Furthermore, she is very bad-tempered and has a rather odd character. Also, she is the strongest amongst the three powerhouses that even Instructor Hisith does not dare mess with her. She is an old witch that strangers keep away from. Even people familiar with her would not approach her. I believe you will have to thank your lucky stars to be able to speak to her.”
“So, it’s best you choose His Excellency One-Pun. Since His Excellency One-Pun is willing to choose you to be a protectee of his ‘God’s Guardian’, it means the degree of attention he awards you is extraordinary. Maybe he will be willing to help you fight against the Celestial killers.”
“Use every means you have to make His Excellency One-Pun protect you at all costs, then desperately become stronger. Make yourself so strong that normal Celestials can’t do anything to you…This is the only suggestion I can give you.”
“Shi Xiaobai, I will treat the sentence ‘This King is the weakest person’ that you once said as the best present, and also treat it as a most precious memory.”
“Also, you are the…strongest person I have ever seen. Maybe you will one day become a kind of King. When the time comes, will I be able to hug onto your thigh and be a good-for-nothing favorite subject of a King?”
“Live on. If there comes a day, we meet again…I will reluctantly satisfy you by calling you ‘King’.”
“If that day ever comes.”
“Then…goodbye, adorable Shi Xiaobai.”
… Chapter 127: This is the reason why you are enduring?
After Shi Xiaobai finished reading Lingcun’s letter, his heart felt slightly heavy. It was not because of the Celestials and Infernals Lingcun mentioned in his letter, but because there was no information he desperately needed in the letter. He still had no idea where Lingcun had gone.
Furthermore, after reading the letter, Shi Xiaobai was more determined to [Save Chen Lingcun].
“This King will definitely make you be perfectly willing to bow and address This King as ‘The Great King’.”
Shi Xiaobai felt mixed emotions as he looked at the last line in Lingcun’s letter-Live on. If there comes a day, we meet again…I will reluctantly satisfy you by calling you ‘King’.
Ye Jiaquan noticed how Shi Xiaobai’s face was sullen after reading the letter, so feeling an ominous sense of foreboding, he immediately asked, “How is it, Brother Dahei. Can this letter save Lingcun?”
Shi Xiaobai remained silent for a while before sighing. He then looked at the letter in his hand once again and began reading it carefully.
Read it again, there might be an inkling!
Suddenly, Shi Xiaobai’s gaze stopped.
“Alright, the nonsense and whining above is really not my style. Forgive me of my excited mood when I was writing this letter because I will immediately be looking for someone I have to find.”
Shi Xiaobai’s eyes slightly lit up. This line was the main reason why Chen Lingcun had left. He had left because he was looking for somebody.
Shi Xiaobai immediately looked at Ye Jiaquan and asked, “Has Lingcun ever mentioned how he has always been looking for someone?”
Upon hearing this, Ye Jiaquan immediately frowned. He racked his brains and kept pondering over it. He knew every answer of his determined Lingcun’s outcome, so even if he had to tear his brains apart, he did not dare to honestly say “Me don’t know” again.
Moments later, Ye Jiaquan suddenly said in excitement, “Me remembers…Lingcun previously asked Instructor Hisith about a person’s whereabouts in class…Could it be that person?”
Shi Xiaobai was slightly startled and immediately recalled what had happened that day in class. Back then, Chen Lingcun and Hisith had mentioned about a particular person. Chen Lingcun had asked Hisith about the person’s whereabouts in an agitated manner and finally said that he would find Hisith alone.
If that was the case, Lingcun must have asked about the person’s whereabouts from Hisith before deciding on leaving Steel City to search for that person.
Liu Hongxian starts to eat like she is a hungry ghost. Her eating manner shocked Liu Yi.
Is this is Liu Hongxian that I see usually? Did she get possessed by second senior bother!
“This is the most delicious hot pot that I had ever eaten in this lifetime…”
As Liu Hongxian eats the hotpot, she starts opening the beer and starts drinking carefreely. “Indeed drinking beer while eating hot pot is the best!”
“Eat slower…no one is snatching from you…”
While Liu Yi watches Liu Hongxian eats he is actually thinking of other things.
While Liu Yi helps Liu Hongxian continue to add meat into the pot, he asks, “Leader you say, why did the Yamaguchi Group people come and find trouble for us?”
“Is there even a need to say. When you are chasing Yunsen Akemi did Wakabayashi Ryo see it?”
As Liu Hongxian drinks her beer, she drawls, “That Wakabayashi Ryo chases after Yunsen Akemi crazily. Furthermore, he is the son of the current head of the Yamaguchi Group. I guess that it is he who is finding trouble for you.”
“What the, this fellow is from the Yamaguchi Group?! What an asshole ah!”
Liu Yi’s mouth twitches, “This task is too fraudulent already! So be it if I have to pick up the daughter of the big missy of Glorious Sun Conglomerate, I still need to become enemy of Yamaguchi Group! What kind of strategy is this ah, this is also too difficult already…”
“No choice. Do you think that it is that easy to save China?”
Liu Hongxian shrugs her shoulder, “For this task, I already prepared myself to die. Liu Yi, you also should have this awareness.”
“I am not afraid of dying.”
Liu Yi tells Liu Hongxian, “I only feel that this task is too fraudulent that’s all. Picking up girls is originally not my forte. If you let me go and deal with Glorious Sun Conglomerate or Yamaguchi Group, I would not say anything and immediately slaughter my way over. But making me cheat the feelings of a girl, alas…”
“Forget it, do you think that you are Ultraman, still want to flip over two major groups.”
Liu Hongxian rolls her eyes, “Even if you are really an Ultraman after you had flipped over the two groups, you might not even find where the laboratory is. The moment they bring the virus source to our country, it will be the doomsday of our china. Picking up a girl is not the main point. The main point is to find the location of the virus source. You can only get close to Yunsen Oishi through Yunsen Akemi. There is no other way.”
They do not know where Yunsen Oishi is hidden now. Not even the 12th military intelligence department is able to find his location.
The breakthrough method is Yunsen Akemi, this girl.
Alas…even if I cannot bear it, Yunsen Akemi will still become a sacrifice victim.
If she wants to blame, she can only blame that she was born in the wrong family.
“You actually have protective feelings for the fairer sex?”
Truenamer While Liu Hongxian eats she criticizes Liu Yi.
“I am not cold blooded okay!”
Liu Yi is rather helpless, “I feel like doing this thing, in the end, I will definitely enter hell.”
“You stinky scumbag originally was already unable to enter heaven!”
“Luckily I do not believe in god….”
Liu Yi lets out a sigh of relief making Liu Hongxian rolls her eyes.
“Anyways, this task is definitely not that easy. We need to make surefire preparations.”
Liu Hongxian suddenly claps her hands in delight, “Gods, I suddenly forgot a matter! Such an important matter I actually forget about it! Too scary already!”
Liu Yi also becomes anxious as he stares at Liu Hongxian.
Liu Hongxian says in annoy, “I actually forgot to add hot pepper oil!”
“No wonder there is no taste after eating for a while! Quickly, Liu Yi! Go and take for me, no spice is not joyous!”
“What the….you are tricking me!”
Liu Yi got emotional earlier, these are emotions.
“Isn’t eating spiciness a big matter? Don’t you know that I am a Sichuan person?”
“What the…boss I’ll go and take it for you!”
Liu Yi can only stand up, “Where did you place it?”
“The third door of the cupboard, it is inside there!”
Liu Yi searches around for a while but is unable to find the hot pepper oil.
“Don’t have ah, did you forget it?”
“Not possible! My memory is perfect!”
“Sometimes there might also have errors, it is really not here!”
“Not possible, it is definitely there! You are too trashy already, let me go and find…”
Liu Hongxian stands up.
But her leg is quite swollen. The moment she stands up, her leg is unable to support herself and causes her to topple.
She lets out a shriek but she is quite agile and her reactions are rather quick. She immediately grabs hold of the table in front to support her body.
But her hand actually press against the side of the pot, causing the hot pot to flip over and all of the soup water inside slashes on to Liu Hongxian’s body.
Konosuba In real Life Liu Hongxian lets out a shriek and falls on her butt, “Scalded me ah!”
The water in the hot pot is already quite scalding. Luckily Liu Hongxian is wearing clothing…otherwise, she would have been scalded!
But her situation is nowhere good. Currently, her body is completely covered with hot pot soup. Her shirt and pants are dripping wet. There is also a piece of mutton, vermicelli and the likes covering it!
A crab is also hanging from the top of her pants, swaying around.
“My leader ah….you, you did not get scalded right?”
“Wuwuwuwu…why am I so unlucky today ah…”
Liu Hongxian is about to cry, “My clothing is completely dirty and I need to immediately wash it…..gods……how, how am I able to wash ah…..” At this moment Liu Yi sees that Liu Hongxian had not only completely dirtied her clothing, one of her hand had turned red from being scalded.
Luckily Liu Hongxian is not like a small girl. She is a female hero, otherwise, she would have started crying loudly.
“My right hand is quite badly scalded.”
Liu Hongxian sits there wretchedly as she blows on her slightly red and swollen right hand, “Really is unlucky all the way to home!”
“Take off your clothing.”
Seeing Liu Hongxian completely wet appearances, Liu Yi feels that the atmosphere is slightly charming. “Let me help you wash your clothing. You go and take a bath first.”
Currently, Liu Hongxian’s body is covered with the smell of the hot pot. She is almost about to disdain herself.
“How can I take off my clothing! My right hand has no feeling!”
While speaking, Liu Hongxian’s works carry a trace of anger, “Why is it that after meeting you I became so unlucky, unhappy, damn unhappy ah!”
“Then let me go then….”
Liu Yi can only dejectedly turn around and walks away.
Liu Hongxian shouts behind him, “You scumbag, you made me so miserable and you are going to not care about me? Heartless rat! Chen Shimei!”
“What the heck, why does your scolding sound a bit wrong ah!”
Hearing this Liu Yi retorts, “What is the heck with Heartless rat and Chen Shimei ah? You say it like I did something to you!”
Liu Hongxian asks, “You made me so wet, is there anything wrong with making you responsible?”
Liu Yi nearly collapses, is this lass doing it on purpose or not, what she says really want my life ah…
Really make me unable to look at her in the face. it really makes people think wrongly ah…
“What do you mean….by making you so wet ah?”
Liu Yi can only turn around and looks at Liu Hongxian who is sitting there speechlessly.
“You irresponsible scumbag!”
Liu Hongxian sits there as she points at Liu Yi and scolds, “Didn’t you make me like this, could it be that I cause it on my own?”
You yourself caused it, would it be….self….coughs already….
Liu Yi’s heart turns wicked a bit as he coughs and shrugs his shoulders asking, “Then what do you want me to do?”
“You….today I’ll let you take advantage!”
Liu Hongxian lets out a breath, blowing away the bangs on her forehead, “You help me fill the bathtub with water!”
Liu Yi nods his head, this is not a bard thing to so.
He immediately walks to the bathroom and starts filling the bathtub with warm water.
The water heater in Liu Hongxian’s house had always been turned on. Thus there is no need to first heat the water which is rather convenient.
From outside comes Liu Hongxian’s shout, “Are you done already, it is damn difficult to bear!”
“Okay, okay, it is done now.”
Liu Yi swings away the water droplets on his hand before walking to the living room.
Liu Hongxian is still sitting there not moving. The expression on her face is very twisted.
“Water is done, you can go and bathe.”
“Have you seen before people wearing clothing and bathing?”
Liu Hongxian glares at Liu Yi fiercely.
Liu Yi says jokingly, “Then what yo do…could it be that you want me to help you take off my clothing?”
“You….you are not allowed to secretly look….”
Out of his expectations, Liu Hongxian actually agree to it!
What the heck!
She agreed to it?!
“You’ve already told me,” Grandon said, shaking his head. “Lord Saul was my greatest supporter. Do you know how anxious I am now that Christian’s real identity is revealed?”
“I’m not talking about that time,” the old mage said. “I’m talking about this time.”
“None of those three you’ve invited are people who can be easily convinced,” the old mage reminded Grandon. Chapter 307: Best out of 36 Strategies

“Anfey, should we go?” Christian asked quietly.
“Are we that hungry? Do we need this dinner that bad?” Anfey smiled.
“Of course not. Who cares about this dinner?” Blavi burst into laughter.
“Then we are not going to his dinner.” Anfey looked firm about this decision.
“Is it appropriate?” Riska said hesitantly. “Prince Granden would feel embarrassed and get mad if we do not go.”
“We are madder than him!” Blavi said. He looked like a person who just worried that the world might not be in a chaos. That way he would have no entertainment to watch.
“I agree with Blavi. Christian, if you go, Granden would look down upon you even more. We need to let him know that it is not that easy to make up for what he did. Next time, he would think more carefully before he made a similar mistake,” Anfey said calmly.
“Right! If we just let it go and forgive him this time, he would ask us to forgive him again next time.” Blavi was so excited that he jumped on the chair after he received support from Anfey. “We need act to show him he should stop dreaming that we would forgive him so easily.”
“Ok. We are not going.” Christian had decided not to go. His announcement meant everything.
“Send a servant to tell them that we got stuck with something right now and could not go. As for the reason we cannot go…just pick any reason.” Anfey suddenly remembered something. “Oh, right. Hagan, can you unlock an Element lock?”
“Element lock? Did you see an Element lock?” Hagan asked.
“Yes. Can you unlock it?” Anfey asked.
“Yes. In fact, it is pretty easy. As long as you have the spells, you can easily unlock it,” Hagan said.
“Why would I ask you if we had the spells?” Anfey shook his head. “Can you unlock it without spells?”
“No. If Master Jacob is here, he may be able to unlock it. If we want to force it open, we have to know the permutation of the elements. Do you think I can do that?” Hagan smiled bitterly. “Where did you see the Element lock?”
“In a secret chamber,” Anfey said.
“Secret chamber?” Hagan was intrigued. “What’s in the chamber?”
“We have taken out all the other stuff. Only a big case is left. It is locked with an Element lock,” Anfey said.
“What’s in the case?” Hagan asked.
“Are you stupid?” Blavi could not help yelling at Hagan. “The Element lock is not unlocked yet, how could we know what is inside the case?” Blavi glanced at Anfey. In fact, he did know what was in the case. Suzanna had made it very clear that secrets should be kept among them and they should not let anyone else know about it. Anfey also stressed that they could not let anyone else know about it, so Blavi spoke before anyone else could because he was worried someone could have talked about the secret by accident.
“Hagan, can you unlock it?” Anfey repeated the same question.
“Without spells, we cannot unlock an Element lock, but I should be able to move the Element lock,” Hagan said.
“If you can, say you can. If you cannot, then just say you cannot. What do you mean when you say you should be able to?” Anfey frowned. This was a big deal. He had to get an accurate answer.
“Don’t push me too hard. I am just an alchemist.” Hagan smiled bitterly. “Theoretically, I can make the volatility of elements freeze for a short amount of time, but I have never dealt with an Element lock before. How could I be too sure about it?”
“Will you possibly fail?” Riska asked.
“Yes,” Hagan said.
“What would happen if you failed?” Riska asked.
“You will never see me.” Hagan heaved a deep sigh. He chose to be an alchemist because the timing had been right and he was timid. He neither wanted to face death in battle nor see those evil-looking magic beasts. Being an alchemist was not only a safe job, but also had a lot of benefits. Alchemists received more respect than mages. They had poor ability to protect themselves. However, people rarely gave alchemists a hard time. Hagan never thought he would become an “EOD expert.” The power of an Element lock would be the same as the power of more than a dozen intermediate magic arrays of Chaos together. He definitely would disappear if he failed.
“Anfey, do we have to move the Element lock?” Christian asked.
“Yes, this time is different than last time. We secretly left Sacred City last time, but we have received others’ attention this time. There must be many people stalking us. The secret of the secret chamber will leak, so we have to move that case away from the chamber,” Anfey said.
“Let’s kill all those stalkers!” Blavi said with hatred. They used to be a group of kids only knowing about practicing magic, but now they talked about killing all the time. On the bright side, they had matured. On the other hand, it showed the pathetic side of human nature. This group of kids had learned sometimes it is better to kill others before they could get killed themselves.
“What if the king sent them? Do we kill them? Do you want to rebel against the king?” Zubin asked.
Blavi did not know how to respond for a second. “What good ideas do you have?”
“How about letting me read through Master Jacob’s scripts to see if there is anything about the Element lock,” Hagan said. “Even if there is nothing about an Element lock, Master Jacob is coming to Sacred City in a few days. I could ask him in person and learn something new. I would be more confident when I have to move the Element lock.”
“Hagan, you have to be more alert. Ok? Don’t mention anything about treasure. Just tell him you are interested in an Element lock,” Anfey said.
“Don’t worry. I am not a little kid.” Hagan suddenly remembered something. “Anfey, are we leaving Sacred City for sure?”
“Yes,” Anfey said.
“How about my lab?” Hagan felt pained when he thought about how much time and effort he had put into the lab. He spent a couple of sleepless nights building the lab. He finally built his first lab. Before he could enjoy it for a few days, they had to leave. No matter what others would think, Hagan really did not want to leave.
“It was not a long term plan to have a lab in Sacred City, because we have to leave here soon or later,” Anfey said slowly. “Don’t worry. Either in Violet City or Sword Tomb Principality, we definitely will build a new lab for you. For the next few days, you can take down anything you feel will be useful.”
“Ok.” Hagan helplessly nodded.
Anfey looked around. “I think you guys could tell Sacred City is getting more complicated. It would not do us any good to stay here. Prince Granden thinks we are causing trouble for him. Prince Wester thinks we would be his opponents and never get along with him. We will have trouble sooner or later if we stay here. Christian, if you have decided not to fight for the throne, you should make it more clear and look more determined. You’d better leave Sacred City and get away from the troubles.”
Zubin cleared his throat, “Anfey, Wester is not quite like you think he is.”
“Oh?” Anfey said.
“Today I met two mages. They were very nice to me and wanted to be friends with me. They also let me know they are with Prince Wester. It seems that Prince Wester wanted to make friends with us,” Zubin said.
“Why didn’t you say it earlier?” Blavi said, frowning.
“Anfey called us over and started talking about Granden’s invitation right away. I did not get a chance,” Zubin said.
“This only makes the situation even more complicated,” Anfey said quietly. “We are not going to keep neutral in Sacred City. In addition, we might make our professor take on more weight. If something happens to us, the professor would have to take care of us. If we leave, the professor does not have to worry about us.”
“I agreed with Anfey from the beginning. I think we all can agree on this. I just do not know what choice the others would make.” Christian sighed. This conversation involved Suzanna, Hui Wei, and six others, not even half of the legion. It was hard to know what the other half of the legion would choose because they would not want to leave Saul. Choosing the right teacher was important in terms of magical study, and sometimes could be a determining factor.
“Christian, can you represent us and talk to the professor about how we see the situation. As long as the professor supports us, they would come with us,” Anfey said.
“Ok.” Christian nodded.
“If we leave Sacred City now, there is another benefit for us,” Anfey said, smiling.
“What benefit?” Christian was shocked.
“Leaving Sacred City means you have no interest in the throne,” Anfey said. “Right now the king should feel the most secure about you. I think he knows what happened on your birthday. We should not say Granden and Wester had any evil intentions towards you, but at the very least they were not nice to you. How would you protect yourself in the future?” Anfey said.
“Didn’t you say we are going to build our own Sword Tomb Principality?” Christian asked.
“We think so.” Anfey smiled. “The king should have made one, or even a few, plans for you, because he is your father. I think it will not take long after we reach Violet City for the king to ask you to take over Sword Tomb Principality. We have nothing right now, but once we are in charge of Sword Tomb Principality, we will be in much better shape.”
“I see,” Christian said.
“When we leave, we’d better ask Brother Entos to go with us,” Anfey said.
“I overheard the conversation between Brother Entos and Marino. They were discussing the time to go back to the Country of Mercenaries. I do not think Bro Entos would come with us,” Christian said.
“Christian, we need you to talk to our professor. You’d better make us look really sympathetic. If our professor asks him to go with us, then he does not have a say where he wants to go.”
“Good idea.” Christian’s eyes brightened. “Brother Entos has been travelling for so many years. He is a lot more experienced than us. He has been senior magister for a long time, so we can ask him if we have any question about magic.”
“Anfey, it would be even better if you could ask Master Ernest to join us,” Blavi blurted out.
“Well…I will try.” Anfey slowly nodded. Chapter 308: Changes
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
Yolanthe’s court began to change when Sacred City welcomed the first snow of the year. After the war, Yolanthe and his cabinet had been debating how to reward those who had served the nation well. However, no decision had been made yet. Everyone had been waiting for the final decision.
Saul received the best reward. Saul had forced the leader of Dark Moon Magic Legion, Newyoheim, to fight with him and won the battle. He set up a large magic array that spanned a fifty miles radius. This saved Maho Empire’s army from Newyoheim’s forbidden spell and saved thousands of lives. Yolanthe decided to make Saul a marquis. This decision became the item everyone was talking about immediately after it was announced. There hadn’t been a new marquis in a century. Even though a marquis title like Saul’s could not be passed down to Niya, it was still a major event. A number of people thought perhaps the title was too great a reward, but no one objected, not even Philip. Saul was a popular person both among the nobility and among the commoners. Objection would not only alienate Saul, but also Yolanthe. No one wanted to offend their king.
Another one rewarded was Baery. He had led his Roaring Death Legion to cut off Ellisen army’s retreat route and prevented Ellisen army from overpowering Maho army. Yolanthe did not give Baery a noble title. Instead, he made Baery a head general and placed him in charge of the legions. This decision shocked Yolanthe’s court. Normally, the king would not give the role of general away until he was ready to pick an heir. This meant that Yolanthe was slowly giving up power. The legions could work together because the different legions respected each other. Now that all the legions had the same general, it would be harder for anyone to take the throne.
A lot of people had been trying to figure out why Yolanthe had named Baery the head general. In reality, Yolanthe’s intention was very simple. There were only two people fit to become head general, Baery and Miorich.
Baery had spent most of his life fighting foreign enemies and was known for his mercilessness. He was very just and popular among his soldiers. He was experienced and knew how to use his power.
Miorich, on the other hand, was less successful than Baery when it came to strategizing. He did not have Baery’s reputation, either. When Miorich arrived at Blackania City with his army, he actually fought the Shansa army. If Baery had been there, the Shansa army would not have fought him. This was because they all knew how good a general Baery was.
Baery was also well-known because he would spare any army that surrendered to him without a fight. If his opponent harmed even one of his soldiers, he would kill everyone he could capture. Of course, he would always spare the nobility because they were worth more than normal soldiers. After all these years, no armies would fight Baery unless they were certain that they could win the battle.
Due to Baery’s reputation, the polarization of Shansa army became more and more apparent. Whenever there was a conflict, the soldiers who would fearlessly charge at their opponents tended to be of noble descent, but the commoners would be more hesitant. In the past, they had a general who was even better than Baery. Now, after the old general’s death, Shansa Empire had yet to find a general who could defeat Baery. Even though Shansa Empire tried to restore its armies to its former glory, its soldiers were still terrified by the Maho general. Shansa Empire found itself more and more on the defensive.
Even though he did not have Baery’s reputation, Miorich was still rewarded. Yolanthe made Miorich a count and turned him into a landholding noble. He also made Miorich vice general.
There were other countless heroes as well. For example, Huni, who was in charge of the army at Blackania City, fought for more than a week and a half and held off Shansa army’s advance until Miorich’s arrival. When he went to greet Miorich, he collapsed and died of exhaustion in Blackania City. Yolanthe made him a count posthumously and his son a viscount as a reward.
The former military affairs minister, August, was made general of Blackania City for his work coordinating supplies.
Prince Grandon had been in charge of supervising the armies and was able to calm the anxious soldiers in times of crisis. Yolanthe made him the new military affairs minister and placed him in charge of supervising the empire’s military.
Former Finance Minister Constantine supported the military financially and subsidized families of dead soldiers. Yolanthe made him a viscount in charge of Swordbury Principality.
Prince Wester was able to take charge in Sacred City during Yolanthe’s absence and was named the new finance minister.
Both princes were given positions of power and became part of Yolanthe’s cabinet. However, Wester was given the better position. The military minister’s job was to train new recruits and ready supplies. The real power lay with the generals. Military ministers tended to make more money, especially during wartime, but Grandon had no need for money, since he was a prince and was already rich. Wester’s position seemed much more powerful to him.
The most interesting appointment went to Saul, who was named a marquis. He was a honorary marquis, and the only way he could become a hereditary marquis was to fight in another war. This meant that Yolanthe not only wanted another war, but he was actively preparing for a war.
Baery becoming the head general meant that Yolanthe was ready to pick an heir. This meant that those in court would soon find themselves facing the difficult choice of which prince to support.
Constantine becoming the minister of Swordbury Principality was the strangest appointment. Constantine was not well-known, but his older brother Baery was world famous. Now that it was revealed that Christian was the third prince, it was also revealed that Wester, Grandon, and Christian were born of the same father but not the same mother. Wester and Grandon had no relation to Baery and Constantine, but Christian was their nephew. This appointment was clearly meant to give Christian another chance.
There was an unknown power within Swordbury Principality as well. The army within Swordbury could only be activated when the empire was toppling. No one knew if Yolanthe would trust Christian with this legendary army.
Yolanthe took a step back and only made Anfey an honorary count. If Anfey did not continue to serve the empire, the right to Violet City would return to the king after his death. His descendants could become viscounts, but a viscount with no land was no different from a commoner.
Likewise, Duke of Swordbury could only be the king’s brother and child. The king was free to name new dukes after the old Duke’s death.
After the storm had calmed, Saul’s home became very busy. Countless people came to congratulate him on his appointment. Chapter 309: Grand Gathering

“It looks busy in the front yard,” Suzanna murmured.
“If you would like, we can walk around out there for a little while,” Anfey said cheerfully.
“No, thank you.” Suzanna shook her head. “This little guy seems anxious. Others have no control over him. If we go to the front yard, what would we do with the little unicorn?”
That day, Saul was hosting a grand party. He had prepared this party very early. There were so many people coming that Saul could not handle all of the arrangements. Luckily, Yolanthe sent about a hundred palace maids and servants to help, and some government officials also sent their family servants over, which barely succeeded in making the party run smoothly. The huge front yard and the main building were lit up. People were walking everywhere. Saul’s house seemed to be highly secured. If today someone successfully attacked Saul’s house, he could have destroyed almost the whole upper class of Maho Empire. No one could let anything slip this time.
In fact, the chance that anyone could successfully attack Saul’s house was very, very slim. Even Philip, who did not see eye to eye with Saul, came for this party. The five top powers in Maho Empire were all here; Saul, Steger, Baery, Mioritch and Philip. In addition to the five top powers, Ernest, Bruzuryano, Manstuly, Jacob, and the old servant of Yolanthe were in the party. All top powers had gathered here. Facing such powerful opponents, even the craziest assassin would give up the idea of assassinating anyone that evening.
Maybe because so many top powers were present, the little unicorn had been looking nervous. He followed after Anfey closely. If the talking or laughter from the front yard were a little loud, the little unicorn would have a chill.
“This little guy is too timid. He should be better when he grows up a little bit more.” Anfey smiled. His smile looked forced. He had been waiting for news from afternoon till evening. He had not heard anything yet. When he went to the front yard to take a look, no matter whether it was Saul, Bruzuryano, or Manstuly, they were all talking and laughing together. He could not tell anything from their looks. Anfey actually felt quite nervous at that moment.
“Too timid?” Suzanna could not help rolling her eyes at Anfey. “Top powers are gathering here. Like the little unicorn, I even feel nervous. As far as I know, it is rare to have three or five top powers at one party. Right now there are nine. It has been a long time since we have had such a grand party on Pan Continent.”
The King of Hell Palace was suspended above dark waters. Lin Feng and the others arrived by their skyboat. They looked at the vast palace in front of them; it looked like Hell, and it rather unreal.
The palace in front of them was floating above the water and kept flickering as if it was shaking. In front of the main gate, there was a bridge, and the bridge was floating in the air too.
“King of Hell Palace.” Lin Feng read the letters at the top of the gate. It looked incredible. Lin Feng thought that that place was probably a small world, including the murky waters.
“Let’s go!” said Lin Feng, jumping onto the bridge.
After a short time, he arrived in front of the main gate of the King of Hell Palace. Some guards were there, wearing dark metal armors. They looked at Lin Feng and asked, “Who are you?”
“I’m Jun Mo Xi’s friend. If we can’t go in, we can also wait for him here,” answered Lin Feng patiently. He had already contacted Jun Mo Xi using their talismans anyway.
“I see, please wait here,” replied one of the guards coldly. Not just anyone could get into their territory.
Very quickly, Jun Mo Xi arrived. He smiled at Lin Feng and Huang Fu Long. “Huang Fu Long, you came to the Holy City as well!”
“Right! And you became the Prince of Hell of the King of Hell Palace, that’s incredible!” exclaimed Huang Fu Long enthusiastically. “By the way, this is Tantai the Idiot, a new friend of mine.”
“Tantai the Wise!” said Tantai furiously. That bastard, how dare he say such an insulting thing?
“Oh man!” sighed Jun Mo Xi, glancing at Huang Fu Long. He then glanced at Tantai and said, “Brother Tantai, come to the King of Hell Palace.”
The friends headed along the main road of the King of Hell Palace. There were many palaces as it was gigantic, and the Qi there was pale but everywhere, like water.
“The King of Hell Palace is a cold place, Ice Hell,” exclaimed Tantai. He felt cold even though he was extremely strong. It meant that the energies here were terrifying.
“It’s cold here, it’s normal,” said Jun Mo Xi with a smile. The palace was beautiful, but still cold.
“Prince of Hell!” greeted someone, bowing before Jun Mo Xi on the way. Jun Mo Xi smiled back.
After a short time, they arrived in front of an ancient pavilion, Jun Mo Xi took some Hot Unit bottles from Lin Feng and grinned. “We haven’t drunk together for such a long time. Now, the four of us can have a drink!”
“Hehe, unfortunately, a girl is not here,” chuckled Huang Fu Long.
Lin Feng smiled at him and asked, “Do you miss Tian Chi Xue?”
“How could I? In the great world, there are many amazing women, how could I miss her?”
“Huang Fu Long, I’ll help you, I’ll introduce you to beautiful women. In the Holy City, there are many of them, and they’re very strong on top of that,” Jun Mo Xi smiled. He was the Prince of Hell of the King of Hell Palace. He knew the Holy City quite well already. He probably knew many geniuses.
“That’s…” Huang Fu Long looked confused and embarrassed, Lin Feng and the others just grinned at him.
“Come, have a drink.” Jun Mo Xi raised his glass and everybody downed their drinks. “Did you come here to go to university? In a month, the exams will start. Which university do you want to go to?”
“Champion University!” Lin Feng grinned.
“Champion University is not bad, but Lang Ye will go to Four Seasons University, he wants to learn everything,” Jun Mo Xi told him.
“Four Seasons University!” repeated Lin Feng: “It reminds me of Chu Chun Qiu. Of course, Chu Chun Qiu will probably go to the Ancient University.”
(Translator’s note: Chun Qiu means four seasons in Chinese, and the university is called Chun Qiu Xue Yuan). Chapter 1188: War in the Sky Connecting Realm

In the Heavenly Dao Sacred Academy, many experts tried to investigate the reason behind the academy’s anger. They soon discovered that it was because the Southern Phoenix Clan and White Tiger Race had broken the rules. A holy maiden had transformed into a droplet of nirvanic blood while a white tiger had been slaughtered.
Hence, in order to punish them, the sacred academy exempted the White Tiger Race and the Southern Phoenix Clan from the rules. They were no longer under the academy’s protection and could kill each other if they wanted to.
During their combat, it was rumored that the devil-cultivators of the Myriad Devil Islands had also participated. But among the rumors, of particular interest was the fact that there were two factions of devils that stood in opposition to each other. The two devil factions were reputed to be extremely powerful, and it was reported that their leaders were prominent figures that carried great influence in the Myriad Devil Islands. One was a devil child while the other was a priestess.
Naturally, with regards to the division of power among the devil cultivators, the vast majority of geniuses in the academy were unaware of the finer details. It was likely that only a few elders from each sect or clan would have knowledge pertaining to the Myriad Devil Islands.
“Several years ago, in the Sky Connecting Realm, Qin Wentian displayed his tyrannical might by roasting White-eye, ruined Huang Youdi, and ultimately defeated the Thundergod’s Child, Lai Ba. Since all the powers involved wanted to focus on their cultivation at the academy, they could only choose to suppress their hatred. Instead of allowing their animosity to erupt, it only continued to fester. To think that the White Tiger Race could no longer endure it-the resulting eruption happened overnight and with such fearsome intensity that even the sacred academy chose to give up on them. Regarding this decision, it’s likely that many geniuses will die in the academy sooner or later.” Many people, who knew of the story of the past, mused silently.
For that battle, many powers were involved. Right now, as long as they participated in this war of the White Tiger Race versus the Southern Phoenix Clan, the rules of the academy would no longer apply to them and they could slaughter and be slaughtered at will. There was no doubt that this slight change would affect the entire situation. The various major powers would step forward to declare their sides and prepare for an all-out war once again.
In truth, matters were unfolding according to expectations. After that battle, the peerless and arrogant white tigers started to seek out allies and came into contact with Huang Youdi of the Nine-Emperors Immortal Empire. After that, they also contacted Lei Ba of the Thundergod Hall and seemed prepared to form an alliance.
In the past, the white tigers had incomparably brazen attitudes, and they treated all humans as lowly beings. They proclaimed hegemony on the Western Regions of the immortal realms and took human males as slaves, and human females as their playthings-who would dare to stand against them? But during their time in the sacred academy, the White Tiger Race kept suffering defeat after defeat. First, Qin Wentian had cooked and eaten some of their members, some of them were killed, and White-eye was trampled upon by Qin Wentian during their fight. Their confidence dwindled with each successive loss and it had reach the point where they had put down the pride in their hearts and initiated an alliance with humans.
After that battle at the Stonebell Rampart, many powers had participated in the proceeding conflict. They sent their experts to hunt down Qin Wentian, and chief among them was Huang Dangtian, a prince character from the Nine-Emperors Immortal Empire, as well as top-tier experts from both the Paragon Sword Sect and the Violet Emperor Sect. Yet these experts had all vanished and hadn’t appeared even to this day. Most probably, all of them had already died. Although nobody could be certain of the details, it was clear that their disappearance had something to do with Qin Wentian. Hence this time around, the White Tiger Race led the pack. Since they all had a common enemy, they would ensure that they all had a common objective-to kill Qin Wentian.
Qin Wentian must die for sure.
Huang Youdi’s hatred for Qin Wentian has already seeped into his bones. He naturally wanted nothing more than to kill him. Only by siding with the White Tiger Race would they too be exempted from the no-killing rule and allowed to freely slaughter Qin Wentian. Because they knew that Qin Wentian would definitely be on the side of the Southern Phoenix Clan. He too, wouldn’t be protected by the academy’s rules.
The experts from the Violet Emperor Sect, the Skymist Immortal Empire, the Paragon Sword Sect and even the Eastern Sage Immortal Sect had all decided to join in, preparing to take Qin Wentian’s life.
Many days had passed since the alliance had been formed, and it had established a fearsome army. Of course, such a large commotion couldn’t stay hidden from others in the academy. This incident shocked the hearts of everyone who heard of it.
This was the first time the sacred academy didn’t open up a place for a life-and-death battle, and the absence of this custom served as the catalyst that caused all this to occur. Most likely, the sacred academy would soon be the site for the largest battle ever to be witnessed.
How could such a significant matter stay hidden from the Southern Phoenix Clan? They all felt worry in their hearts but luckily, the experts from the Battle Saint Tribe, disciples of Matriarch Ji, experts from the Evergreen Immortal Empire, the Thousand Transformations Immortal Sect, and some disciples of the Heavenly Talisman Realm had also gathered together in the Sky Connecting Realm, preparing to fight back.
These two terrifying factions of power both contained fearsome might. Even the three monks of the Askheart Temple arrived in the Sky Connecting Realm. Unicus: Memories of Us; Only Remembered by Me However, they expressed no intent in joining the Southern Phoenix Clan. After all, to the three monks of the Askheart Temple, they didn’t have too deep a connection with Qin Wentian. The relationship between them wasn’t enough for them to participate in this life-and-death war.
In addition, everyone knew that there was still a terrifying character who stood at the pinnacle of the Nine-Emperors Immortal Empire. Although he had yet to appear, nobody knew if he would end up participating in this war.
Huang Shatian’s existence was simply too threatening. In the previous battle, he had fought solo against five powerful experts, and their fight had ended in a draw. After so many years, he had remained immersed in his cultivation and it was rumored that he was one of the rare few who had already come into contact with the gate leading to the immortal king realm. This achievement had established him as one of the strongest individuals in the sacred academy currently.
At this moment, the images of several experts were displayed on the Supreme Might Rankings on the Sky Connecting Immortal Rock. Aside from Qin Wentian, who had maintained his position, Huang Shatian was obviously also there.
Right now, there were over ten experts on the Supreme Might Rankings. Other than the strongest character from the first to the eighth level of immortal-foundation, there were quite a few experts at the ninth level, including Huang Shatian. These people were currently the strongest cultivators in the entire sacred academy.
In front of the immortal rock, the Southern Phoenix Clan and their allies sat around the stone pillars and quietly cultivated, the entire atmosphere seemed to be strangely peaceful. However, everyone knew that this was simply the calm before the storm.
Only to see that at this moment, several experts appeared, causing the wind to whistle at their arrival. They stood at a far distance and stared at those by the pillars.
The experts from all the major powers had arrived, including people from the Senluo Immortal Empire, the Shooting Sun Immortal Empire, the Sky Roc Race and several others. Those surrounding the stone pillar knew that these powers were here to spectate as the war unfolded.
Despite knowing this, the silence in the air was still as terrifying as ever.
“Amitabha. This monk loves a lively situation the most.” A voice rang out as three monks appeared. They were none other than the monks from the Askheart Temple, and their presence caused everyone to have expressions of interest on their faces. Would these three monks participate in the war as well?
“Interesting, who do you think will win this war?” The prince of the Shooting Sun Immortal Empire asked his younger sister.
“The White Tiger Race’s alliance ultimately chose not to wait for Huang Shatian and decided to proceed with the war. Both Huang Shatian and Qin Wentian are currently cultivating in the second level of the Sky Connecting Realm-they’re probably unaware of the upcoming war. As for who will win or lose, it’s tough to say. If the three monks of the Askheart Temple choose to participate, both sides will have a 50% chance of victory. The strength of each alliance is truly fearsome but naturally, that’s assuming that there are no other unexpected factors. After all, nobody can predict the future.”
“Sadly, that fellow isn’t out yet.” Li Yufeng and Beiming Nongyue stood together.
“Even if he did come out, he wouldn’t be able to affect the war from happening, right?” Beiming Nongyue’s voice was extremely mesmerizing.
“Since this war is going to take place in the Sky Connecting Realm, it will give each faction a chance to feel each other out, so there won’t be any immediate casualties. After all, if the death toll is too high, it might truly invoke the wrath of the peak powers in the external world. I believe that there’s only one person that the white tigers wish to kill the most. They want to defeat all of these people first and when Qin Wentian finally appears, it will be easier to kill him then.” In the direction of the Jiang Clan, Jiang Ziyu examined the situation. He’d vastly improved after entering the academy and was now extremely strong. His eyes could see through everything and right now, he was peering at the horizon, listening to the conversations within the white tiger alliance.
The Monk Bujie closed his eyes and smiled. Reign of the Phoenix “They’ve decided to kill you all by sending you guys out of the Sky Connecting Realm before they conduct a hunt in the Sky Connecting Realm. They will first target Qin Wentian and the Thousand Transformations Immortal Sect. Their second target will be the Southern Phoenix Clan. The experts of the Southern Phoenix Clan will be dealt with exclusively by the white tigers.”
The eyes of everyone gleamed. The Thousand Transformations Immortal Sect represented by Qin Wentian was actually their main target. However, there was no denying that the sect was extremely strong as their forces also contained disciples from the Heavenly Talisman Realm as well as experts from the Battle Saint Tribe. The white tiger alliance wanted to kill them first because they weren’t worried about offending the Thousand Transformations Immortal Sect. Since they were going to offend the sect no matter what, they might as well act more ruthlessly and kill all their members. In comparison, the Southern Phoenix Clan had an extremely deep foundation in the immortal realms. It was still best to leave the hunting of the holy maidens to the white tigers. As for the disciples of Matriarch Ji, they weren’t prepared to kill them at all. Everyone knew how powerful Matriarch Ji was-she was someone who ranked at the absolute peak of the immortal realms.
Although the sacred academy no longer offered them protection and allowed them to freely slaughter each other, both factions still had some considerations in their hearts. After all, only the White Tiger Race had suffered a casualty, and Qin Wentian was clearly involved with the disappearances of those experts that had pursued him back then. The humiliation of Huang Youdi and Lei Ba was also because of Qin Wentian. Hence, their main target this time around was the sect that Qin Wentian originated from-the Thousand Transformations Immortal Sect.
“You shouldn’t join this battle.” Qing`er’s beautiful eyes glanced at Mo Qingcheng. As long as Mo Qingcheng didn’t participate, the other faction wouldn’t dare to kill her since she would still be under the academy’s protection. Mo Qingcheng’s current strength was simply too weak; she shouldn’t participate at all.
“Mhm.” Mo Qingcheng nodded. She knew that if she joined the battle, she would only be a liability and wouldn’t be of any help. She naturally understood that this wasn’t the right time to let her emotions affect her decisions.
Finally, a stifling pressure from afar gushed forth, enveloping the entire space. For a moment, the wind and clouds shifted, painting the skies black. That overwhelming might from the combined auras seemed so powerful that they could collapse the sky.
The experts of the Battle Saint Tribe rushed forth, standing in the front. They stood in a row as battle light frenziedly gushed forth from them, forming phantoms of divine apes that towered up into the skies. They were the first line of defense.
“Today, we are here because of the war between the White Tiger Race and the Southern Phoenix Clan. Those who stand on the side of the Southern Phoenix Clan will no longer be protected by the academy’s rules. Kill them all without mercy.” Huang Wudi stood by the forces of the Nine-Emperors Immortal Empire. He floated in the air, emperor light glowing brilliantly around him.
The Southern Phoenix Alliance was so silent that it was unnerving. Nobody replied to Huang Wudi’s words, but the experts of the alliance all released their immortal foundations, causing their tyrannical auras to gush forth, fighting back against the pressure from the White Tiger Alliance! The auras of both factions collided, the clashing might soared up into the sky, sweeping through everything in the Sky Connecting Realm! Chapter 1189: Jun Mengchen’s Humiliation Avenged

The strongest force in the White Tiger Alliance was the Nine-Emperors Immortal Empire. As for the Southern Phoenix Alliance on Qin Wentian’s side, the strongest force was clearly the experts from the Battle Saint Tribe.
Huang Wudi stood in the direction of the Nine-Emperors Immortal Empire’s forces. Since Huang Shatian wasn’t present, the Nine-Emperors Immortal Empire would naturally follow his orders. He was currently one of their strongest experts.
“Release your human-emperor glow,” Huang Wudi ordered. In an instant, the experts from the Nine-Emperors Immortal Empire all released their immortal foundations, manifesting human-emperor silhouettes that encircled them. The emperor light converged together with a brilliant glow, wanting to slice apart the sky that was covered with dark clouds.
The experts from the Battle Saint Tribe stood side by side, all of them unleashing the power of the Battle Saint Art. A barrier of light then formed, like an unbreakable wall that stood protectively before them. The experts from the Nine-Emperors Immortal Empire also stood together. Their cultivation techniques were similar to each other and this was the case for the Battle Saint Tribe as well.
“KILL!” Huang Wudi commanded. Both parties didn’t waste any words and immediately started the battle. Since they’d decided to join the White Tiger Alliance, all words were useless now. By fully suppressing their opponents through a show of strength, killing them, and obtaining victory, only then would that confirm their true intentions. Their final aim was to cleanse their hatred and humiliation by shedding the blood of their enemies. They will take the lives of Qin Wentian’s comrades and use this incident as a warning to anyone foolish enough to antagonize their Nine-Emperors Immortal Empire.
As the sound of his command rang out, the emperor light converged together, transforming into destructive beams of light that shot forward. The barrier formed from the combined efforts of the Battle Saint Tribe flashed brilliantly, standing tall and unyielding before the beams of emperor light. The experts from the Nine-Emperors Immortal Empire couldn’t break through the barrier at all.
This was the first time for both factions to clash with the other. They were making every effort to defeat their opponents.
Huang Wudi waved his hands, manifesting a thousand swords amidst the sound of humming in the air, each blade floating behind him. Huang Wudi then pointed forward and the human-emperor swords shot out one after another, intent on destroying everything. At his signal, the experts from the Nine-Emperors Immortal Empire provided support by infusing their sword intent and sword might behind his attacks. With so much power, how could they fail to slash through their opponents’ defenses?
As expected, the protective barrier generated by the line of divine apes soon cracked under the pressure. Qi Da coldly snorted. He lifted his palm and slammed out with a gigantic palm strike. The other experts from the Battle Saint Tribe mirrored his actions, each of them sending out palm imprints containing an indomitable force to clash against the human-emperor swords. The swords couldn’t withstand the might unleashed by the Battle Saint Tribe. The swords’ light dimmed as the palm imprints continuously launched forward, breaking through with ease.
However, the humming of the swords didn’t let up and they actually also generated enough pressure to cause the palm imprints to shatter apart.
“The Nine-Emperors Immortal Empire is merely so-so in strength.” A mocking voice rang out, causing Huang Wudi’s face to twist with displeasure. He then stepped forward, actually choosing to act himself.
In the direction of the Battle Saint Tribe, Qi Da stared as Huang Wudi walked forward, and without any hesitation, he stepped out as well. When Qi Da saw the supreme human emperor, Huang Wudi, slashing out with his human emperor sword, his arm expanded in size in response. It resembled the powerful arm of a divine ape that contained a might which could destroy the heavens, and he slammed out to meet Huang Wudi’s attack.
The two of them stood in opposition, fighting as equals.
Upon seeing this scene, the experts from both factions finally moved. The experts of the Nine-Emperors Immortal Empire pressed forward, the white tigers fought against the Southern Phoenix Clan, the people from the Violet Emperor Sect fought against the disciples of Matriarch Ji, and the members of the Heavenly Talisman Realm obstructed the paths of the experts from the Skymist Immortal Empire and the Paragon Sword Sect… A war had completely broken out.
The battlefield instantly expanded. The entire space had been cleared out for the two factions, and the spectators had retreated to a safe distance. This war was simply too ferocious and at too great a scale.
Huang Youdi knew that Qin Wentian wasn’t present. His eyes flashed when he finally found an opponent, rushing towards Jun Mengchen. Jun Mengchen had the same thoughts as well, and he released his immortal-foundation that was in the form of an entire world, and with a single punch, the entire space around him trembled violently. Every casual strike he unleashed held the force of his innate techniques, powered from the energy of his world-type immortal-foundation. Even human emperors were forced to bow before his might.
The two of them fought in close combat, their movements both violent and crazed. Jun Mengchen, after stepping into the fifth level of immortal-foundation, didn’t fear Huang Youdi at all. Their cultivation bases weren’t at the upper three levels, but their combat skills were simply earth-shattering. Their attacks littered the battlefield with overwhelming explosions, and the resulting aftershocks turned their surroundings into dust.
“Senior Brother, do you feel that they’re bullying the Southern Phoenix Alliance?” the monk Bujie asked his senior brother Buchen.
“Both factions willingly entered the war, so it cannot be considered a case of bullying. Although there are more forces siding with the White Tiger Alliance, but when you look at the situation, they are not gaining an advantage at all,” Buchen spoke in a light voice. His entire person appeared unblemished, and he was incredibly handsome. Such a handsome monk was truly a rare sight in this world.
“Senior’s judgment is much more accurate than mine. In that case, does that mean we don’t need to act?” Bujie asked.
“If Huang Shatian had joined this battle, then that would be a true case of bullying. Given Hua Shatian’s strength, there’s probably no one who can stand up to him.” Buchen spoke again. But he showed no intention of participating.
Buchen’s judgment was truly accurate. The heaven’s chosen around the area spectated the battlefield, all feeling shock in their hearts. The White Tiger Alliance was made up of many peak powers in the immortal realms, and those geniuses were all exceptional individuals with remarkable power. However, despite the Southern Phoenix Alliance having a disadvantage in terms of numbers, they could still fight equally against their enemies. Their individual combat prowess was truly outstanding.
“The Thousand Transformations Immortal Sect of the Eastern Regions was only recently established, but they have so many heaven-defying supreme geniuses among the immortal-foundation realm?” Many in the crowd couldn’t believe their eyes. The experts from the Battle Saint Tribe had always followed Qin Wentian, and they used the identity of the Thousand Transformations Immortal Sect when they entered the sacred academy. Also, several disciples from the Heavenly Talisman Realm were included as well. There was naturally no need to doubt their strength.
For example Lei Ba, the Thundergod’s Child. He had cultivated the heaven-defying might of lightning and thunder. Although Qin Wentian defeated him, it didn’t affect how strong he was. Yet now, there was an expert form the Battle Saint Tribe on the same level as him, and that expert was actually obstructing him.
Huang Wudi and Qi Da’s battle was naturally witnessed by all. Even Huang Youdi, who claimed to be a match for everyone underneath the heavens, was still in fierce combat with the fifth-level Jun Mengchen. Despite his strength, he was unable to take down his opponent.
The Skymist Immortal Empire also had their own outstanding character, but all of them were blocked by experts from the Southern Phoenix Alliance. This was a shocking sight to the spectators when they realized the true strength of the Southern Phoenix Alliance.
“This is an iron board; it’s not so easily swallowed up by others.”
The experts of the Nine-Emperors Immortal Empire’s thought that theirs was a sure victory, but they didn’t expect that the strength of their opponents would be so formidable.
A moment later, a deafening boom rang out. An expert from the Nine-Emperors Immortal Empire was killed by an expert of the Battle Saint Tribe, causing the Sky Connecting Realm to expel their body out of this realm.
The first to die was actually someone from the Nine-Emperors Immortal Empire.
10 Armored Godly Beasts and 30 six-arm fusion apes all charged up, opening up a way for Han and combatting all the left over dark beasts.
At the same time, the comrades of the expedition team also caught up. Anymore hiding already lost its meaning, this hidden expeditionary operation already became a bloody and public battle.
After seeing how Han frantically wanted to attack that row of silver vessels, everyone realized that something sinister must be inside. Otherwise, how could they make Han that angry, to destroy those silver vessels and their contents at all cost?
Suddenly, the battle reached a fervent degree.
Han planted 3 plants that are even stronger than those bloodthirsty dark wind vines into his left arm: Bloodthirsty Sky Vines.
Those strange plants quickly grew up by absorbing Han’s fresh blood, rolled up dark beast groups after groups and then threw them fiercely onto the ground.
Ever since A-19 Extinction Domain, Han had been deliberately trying to enhance the strength of his battle weapons. Since the Oblivion Realm is a place full of all sorts of notorious outlaws, before leaving to rescue Old Mo, Wuyun not only gave Han Godly Armored Beasts, but also some top tier and forbidden evil battle equipment.
Now these equipment are all playing their function.
“Ultimate! Thousand Lion Rage!”
Mad Lion Riley activated his beast form, turning from a human to a muscular lion, and he also activated his duo additional skills of speed and mirage.
Suddenly, as if over thousands of angry lions appeared on the battlefield, pushing the dark beasts into panic, not knowing which one is fake and which one is real.
And the Ghost Lesa’s beast transformation is even more powerful than his twin brother, directly incarnating him into a devil. He became darkness instantly, pulled out a silver machete, as if a reaper from hell, quickly flashing around in the dark beast herd, and multiple beasts were killed during each flash.
After all, it’s an extraordinary expedition team!
Everyone has their unique ability and strong sense of combat!
If at the moment there’s someone else at the scene, they would be surprised to see that a small team composed of only 11 humans, are actually fighting at even ground against thousands of powerful dark beasts!
The human side has more powerful combat skills, but although the dark beasts’ combat power is not as strong as these finest soldiers, but their number can be used to make up for that!
The battle progressed into anxiety, the human soldiers are only a few hundred meters away from those silver vessels, but they just can’t reach them! What’s coming at them are tens of thousands, or even millions of dark beasts giving all effort to join the battle. They are not afraid of death, and their only goal is to protect these silver gene vessels!
“Time is running out!” Han shouted.
During such stage of anxiety, every additional second will sink the team into a more disadvantageous position. Eleven men, even if they are all gods, it’s still impossible for them to keep on battling that many dark beasts!
“Give me the nuke!” Han shouted at Ma Jingkong.
Everyone was suddenly shocked, they looked unbelievably at Han, saw his determined gaze and a growingly distorted face due to anger.
“I’m not kidding! Give me the f*cking bomb!” Han shouted at Ma Jingkong, “If the things inside these vessels don’t die! None of us can f*cking survive! The entire universe, no one can survive! You don’t understand! You don’t know what’s really hiding in there!”
Ma Jingkong hesitated at first, then started laughing as his eyes became determined.
“No, Han, I know!”
“When the Protector was leaving the galaxy, I originally thought about leaving with him because I never doubted his prophecy!”
“If these silver vessels can make you this crazy and make the dark beasts panic that much to protect at all cost!”
“Then I guess, inside these vessels, must be the prehistoric civilization’s vanguards, the Dark Apostles!”
“I already guessed that they would be coming soon, just never thought that they would come to the galaxy this way!”
“Listen to my command, retreat immediately!”
Then they followed Ma Jingkong and started running towards the side. Returning to the first layer of the relic is impossible, because they already encountered countless dark beasts on the way down, and they should be all charging towards this location after noticing the explosion.
So, Han and the team has no choice but to run to the side and try to ran as far away as possible.
Han already retrieved the Godly Armored Beasts and six-arm fusion apes. After the fierce battle, 2 Godly Armored Beasts and 5 six-arm star apes were torn into pieces by the dark beasts.
The tenacious Demon Claw is still alive. He has such an uncanny ability to survive like a cockroach, and Han has seen it getting punched into the ground by dark beasts, but it would tenaciously climb out from the soil in the next second.
In the blink of an eye, Han and the team already withdrew hundreds of kilometers. They are all high-level fighters, so their travelling speed is as fast as flying.
And at the battlefield Han and the team just battled on, millions of dark beasts already surrounded the silver vessels with multiple layers to increase protection, while also sending about half of the group to go chase the human expedition team.
“Here!” Ma Jingkong shouted, stopped his footsteps as his fingers gently touched the dimension ring, pulled out the silver nuke. He held it tightly as he adjusted the time of detonation.
“113 kilometers, can you do it?” Mad Lion Riley asked.
Ma Jingkong laughed and said, “I’m not good at anything else, but I do have strength! You guys just wait and see!”
Ma Jingkong began his run-up and blue veins began being exposed on his arms.
Suddenly, he threw out the nuke in his hand in full strength!
The nuclear bomb was torn out of his arm and shot out of the air like a cannonball. Fast like a silver light! Travelled straight ahead and drew a perfect arc in the air!
This is Ma Jingkong’s power, godlike strength!
Strength descent is one of the most common powers in the Milky Way. According to statistics, more than 40% of the espers are strength descent, and that’s a very stunning figure.
But strength descent is also not the most common power, because it’s very hard to improve. The example of someone becoming a warlord level elite as a strength descent esper is very rare in the Galaxy, never more than 10 people.
And Ma Jingkong, is just one of them.
To what extent can a strength descent warlord achieve?
Obviously, it’s a very frightening degree. Very easily, Ma Jingkong threw the hundreds of kilograms’ heavy bomb to a target that’s 110 kilometers away. It looked as easy as throwing a leaf out of his hand.
A strength descent elite like Ma Jingkong can literally sent an enemy into space with one punch!
Seeing the bomb about to fall on the ground, everyone activated the goggle function of the battle suit to prevent their eyes from being damaged from light from explosion, and their heart is filled with endless malice intent towards these dark beasts and dark apostles.
“Bomb them! Kill them all!” Everyone hoped.
Suddenly, at this moment, the atmosphere suddenly changed!
Those silver vessels suddenly opened!
No, not opened, but exploded from the inside! A terrifyingly strong power instantly torn the silver alloy container.
Immediately followed by a man, precisely he’s still an immature teenager, about 11 or 12 of age. He’s still one of the bigger ones among the apostles.
He burst into the sky, grabbed the nuclear bomb that’s one second away from exploding, opened his mouth, and swallowed it into the stomach!
It was a dull sound, like a firecracker thrown into the water.
The young dark apostle landed firmly, hit a hiccup and a puff of smoke came out from his mouth.
Everyone almost could not believe their eyes; the bomb was actually eaten by the dark apostle! And apparently, he doesn’t suffer even a little damage!
And it is also at that moment, they finally saw the dark apostles’ eyes!
It’s a pair of pitch black eyes, without any human color, only full of devilish coldness and murderous intent.
Everyone finally understood why Han just looked at them and became that angry.
No doubt, this is a real devil, even if all human blood in the galaxy is sacrificed to the master of that pair of eyes, he will still not be satisfied or feel even a little bit of mercy!
Everyone gasped at the same moment, and that young dark apostle stood on the ground, pointed at Han’s location with a finger.
The dark beasts charged up, they obeyed the dark apostle’s command and want to kill those human survivors!
“It seems like we won’t be able to return this time.” Mad Lion Riley said with a low hoarse voice, “I swear in the name of my mother, even if I die here today, I will not yield to darkness!”
A giant blade was carried out by Riley onto his shoulder, and so did his twin brother! Their eyes burst with endless murderous intentions!
Suddenly, just when Riley and Lesa are about to charge at the young dark apostles, Ma Jingkong pulled them back, pulled out another nuclear bomb from his dimension ring and tied it firmly onto his back.
“You guys get out of here.” Ma Jingkong suppressed his voice and said.
“No but, you guys get out of here! Tell the Alliance about everything that happened here! Tell everyone in the galaxy! Let them know that it’s time to stop the absurd internal conflicts! Because the real enemy of our mankind has come!”
“And killing these damn enemies, is my responsibility! Although I don’t know if the nuclear bomb has enough power.”
“No but! Get out of here! Try everything to run away from this damn place! If we all die, then the Alliance and all mankind won’t know about the truth! And that would be what’s most terrifying!”
“As a soldier, you have the responsibility to do so! If any of you can escape from here, remember to tell my newborn son! His father, is not a coward!”
With tears in their eyes, everyone watched Ma Jingkong charge towards the simply endless crowd of enemies!
They saw him take out the famous Daybreak Blade that weighs 108 tons!
That Blade is that sharp, and that heavy. Ma Jingkong must adjust his anti-gravity boots to the limit in order for him to not leave a pit in the ground every time he takes a step due to the heavy weapon.
“Mankind will win!”
He shouted, indomitably rushed back into the sea of dark beasts, waving that heavy bloodthirsty sword! The Ninth Reincarnation Like a true warrior!
Here’s the regular for this Tuesday~ It was a huge mistake to be distracted in the middle of a vicious battle, even if it was just for an instant, and how could Xing Mingzi be unaware of this? It was just that the shock of seeing his Star Suppressing Chain be blasted aside was simply far too great, it was practically no different from seeing his convictions and beliefs collapse… During the period when he was distracted, he heard a weird roar ringing in his ears and Yun Che was already upon him. To Xing Mingzi at this particular moment, that pair of bloody eyes was no different from the eyes of a true demon.
But in the end, he was still a Divine Master; his reaction speed was peerlessly fast and decisive. The Star Suppressing Chain instantly lashed out again, generating a shocking spatial storm in its wake, forcefully distorting the crimson flames and sword might that Yun Che had sent crashing down on him.
The Heaven Smiting Sword and the Star Suppressing Chain collided crazily with one another. This was a clash on the level of Divine Masters and the sounds made when the weapons struck was enough to rend the heavens and the earth, rend the space around them, and rend the eardrums of all the Star Guards. It was even gradually starting to rend at their internal organs. Several of the Star Guards who were at the initial stages of the Divine Sovereign Realm had blood flowing down the corner of their mouth, their entire bodies limp and numb.
Flames and starlight dotted the sky and a peerlessly dreadful spatial storm was stirring over Star God City with every breath… Yun Che and Xing Mingzi had reached a deadlock. That was right, Yun Che was facing a true Divine Master but he could actually reach a stalemate in power with him.
This also meant that the power that was flowing through his body right now had truly stepped into the realm of the Divine Masters.
This was the power that he had originally desired so greatly and if he were to suddenly be able to possess such a power, he should have been filled with a wild joy. Yet his heart did not feel a single pulse of joy or excitement. There was only endless and boundless hatred, resentment, and killing intent.
“Don’t push it, son! Remember who you are!” Kent warned him in a stern voice, speaking very close to Kieran’s face.
Mr. Big’s men had started to look at Kieran with an unfriendly expression. They had gotten tired of following him around while he looked like he was doing nothing. If Kent had not been around, they would have taught this young man a lesson.
Kieran looked at Kent, and then at the men around him. He could not help but let out a laugh.
“Of course I do, I’m Mr. Big’s collaborator!” he said in a clear tone, emphasizing each word.
If Kieran disclosed his discoveries to the man before him, he knew that he would comply easily, but obviously Kent had no right to know. Kieran wanted to have a face-to-face conversation with Mr. Big, not talk to him through his men.
As for why Kieran wanted that?
Since he had discovered the existence of the huge Reverse Pentagram, he had been thinking about why a third time dungeon would seem harder than a fourth time one.
He had not understood at first, but as he investigated the body and followed the tracks, he took note of Mr. Big’s men following behind him. Now he understood why he’d felt that way. Kieran had a lot of helpers on his side, even though he had subconsciously thought that he was alone.
Unlike the dead guards at Alcatraz, the dungeon Kieran was in now had granted him a lot of helpers to aide him in facing a behemoth like Sphendix.
He was not alone after all.
If Kieran gave the dungeon Main Mission flow some thought, he would realize that if he had not helped Larry and gone straight to Leonard’s hiding place, he would have discovered Leonard’s body and the key item taken away. Following the fourth and fifth beast attacks, the player would have definitely been on the case as they followed the Main Mission.
Eventually, the player would enter Mr. Big’s radar because of the Main Mission, and when they displayed formidable strength, Mr. Big would gladly add another capable fighter to his ranks. In the end, the player would finish the Main Mission unhindered with the help of Mr. Big.
Other than the part where the player needed to display formidable strength in front of Mr. Big and the potential war with Sphendix, which might be a little hard, the rest of the Main Mission was quite easy in Kieran’s opinion. It was quite fitting for a third time difficulty dungeon, but that did not mean that Kieran would follow that path.
His goal was to finish the Main Mission, Title Mission, and every Sub Mission possible with good results. Only that way would he be able to gain more advantages in future dungeons. Kieran did not forget his goal every time he entered a new dungeon. Since anything was possible, he did not just want to clear the dungeon at hand.
Truth be told, staying behind Mr. Big and finishing the Main Mission would be easy, but what about the next dungeon? And the dungeon after that?
As his dungeon entry times increased, so did the difficulty, and such a happy-go-lucky attitude in clearing a dungeon would eventually lead him to death.
That was not what Kieran wanted.
He had no intention of finishing the Main Mission through Mr. Big. He wanted to be in an equal position with him. Only then would he reap the biggest benefits. However, making that goal a reality would not be an easy task.
Although Kieran had just met Mr. Big for the first time, the memory of Mr. Big’s invasive, arrogant attitude and his cold stare were still fresh in his mind. Still, Mr. Big was not someone who ignore everyone before him. How seriously he took Sphendix was proof enough of that.
This had made Kieran understand that, in order to make his goal a reality and carry out his plan, he would need to present himself as a force to be reckoned with.
He wanted Mr. Big to take him seriously as a collaborator, and not treat him like a higher status person who did not spare a glance for someone that far beneath him.
Of course, it would take a certain formidable strength to achieve such a result. Fortunately, Kieran had that kind of strength, otherwise his actions would have already led to his demise.
The situation at hand had presented him with an opportunity to show off that strength.
“Collaborator? Who do you think you are? Since you don’t seem to be able to distinguish the good from the bad, I’ll let you know what attitude you should have before Mr. Big!”
After laughing coldly, Kent punched Kieran in the face.
Kieran stood still as a stick, as if he had been stunned by the unexpected punch. Mr. Big’s men around them seemed to expect a good show from the two of them. They knew what Kent could do. He was certainly not someone to mess around with, considering that he had been able to become Mr. Big’s right-hand man. Kent’s formidable strength made him rank in the top three fighters among Mr. Big’s men.
Kent was far more ruthless than the other top two, and his loyalty to Mr. Big had helped him get promoted to where he was.
If Kieran got on his bad side, he would meet a bad end.
A number of Mr. Big’s men with fierce, aggressive personalities started to smile at Kieran’s misfortune.
They even began guessing what state Kieran would be in after the fight.
Broken ribs? Broken arm? Maybe two broken legs?
The guesses were so many that they actually wanted to punch Kieran themselves.
They focused their evil gazes on Kieran like wolves hunting down their prey in a circle.
Despite everything that was going on around him, Kieran simply moved his right index finger a little, and the ring on his finger with the beautiful embedded ruby immediately emitted a terrible glow.
It was as if it was telling the world its name.
Early chapter today Chapter 119: Collaboration

The lightning-fast punch unleashed towards Kieran was stopped in mid-air before it even touched him.
Kent’s cold smile froze on his face. Even his breathing slowed down in that moment, as if he had witnessed something horrific that he could not accept. He backed up a few steps, his face turning pale as he panted.
The men around Kieran also acted the same way.
When Kieran turned his eyes towards them, they felt as if his gaze was more ferocious than a tiger’s or a leopard’s. It felt like a sharp sword driving into their hearts.
A big number of them fell to the ground, blood gushing out their mouths. The rest also looked pale as they stared at Kieran with a horrified expression.
They had no idea what was happening, or why one gaze from Kieran could make them suffer such a mental shock.
Out of instinct, some of them tried to conquer the unknown fear by pulling out their guns, hoping to fight it with modern weapons.
Their wobbly hands and feet would not allow them to pull them out though. Some of them even fell down as they tried to pick up their weapons.
As men fell before Kieran like bowling pins, he softly touched the [Half-Dead’s Gaze] on his finger. He was in awe of the power of that rare piece of equipment.
He was in complete advantage, unless he was facing someone who had a strong Spirit Level by nature. Most importantly, the ring had a specific range of effect.
The [Dead Man’s Gaze]’s skill had no target limitation though. During it’s one second of duration, anyone who came in contact with Kieran would be forced to undergo a Spirit authentication, and if their Spirit was lower than Kieran’s by -1 rank, they would be induced with [Fear] and consumed by [Fear Illusions].
[Fear Illusions: The Target has fallen under the spell of your Illusions, Spirit authentication… Spirit did not pass authentication, Target suffers Damage similar to your Spirit rank, 40 Damage Inflicted to Target’s HP, Target is Moderately Wounded…]
[Fear Illusions: Target has fallen under the spell of your Illusions, Spirit and Intuition authentication… Spirit and Intuition did not pass authentication, Target suffers Damage similar to your Spirit rank +1, 60 Damage Inflicted to Target’s HP, Target is Heavily Wounded…]
Although Mr. Big’s men looked tough on the outside, the battlelog notifications proved that they were nothing more than ordinary men. Their combat ability might be much stronger than average, but that did not change their status.
Kieran looked down at Kent, who looked as if he was about to collapse.
“I think I’ve made myself clear about who I am and what attitude you should have when talking to me! You have one minute to find me a driver! Don’t even think about trying anything, or you won’t survive the consequences!” he warned Kent in a calm, stern tone.
Without waiting for a reply, he opened the passenger door and got in the car.
Kent clenched his teeth hard to keep himself from falling down. His faint, struggling expression eventually turned into fear.
Kieran could clearly see Kent’s expression through the side mirror. It was exactly what he wanted. He was actually delighted by the results.
Kent was not some fighter who would look death in the face. He was nothing more than a high-ranking gang member. When his life was threatened, he got scared and panicked. Facing the unknown made him feel the same way.
When Kent was facing both at the same time, his fear got the best of him and tore down his confidence, causing his worldview to collapse.
“Next… Mr. Big!” Kieran said quietly.
Kent would definitely report the incident to Mr. Big, there was no doubt about that, and Kieran could already guess what Mr. Big’s reaction would be.
After all, Mr. Big was not the kind of man to stare death in the face either.
Kieran needed to go through the minor details carefully though, and a one-minute timeframe was obviously not enough for him to do it.
He quickly collected his thoughts as the driver opened the door and got into his seat.
[Tracking] would consume a lot of his Stamina, and distinguishing a single track from the countless tracks on the road would require him to be highly concentrated.
“Start the car now and follow my directions!” Kieran said.
“Yes, sir!” the driver nodded in compliance.
It seemed like someone had told him about what had just happened back there.
With a turn of the key, the black MPV started to cruise on, following Kieran’s directions.
After an hour and a half of driving, the MPV reached a huge building.
“This is the Sphendix Corporation Headquarters, sir. We can’t go any further, or we’ll be in big trouble!” the driver told Kieran.
Kieran didn’t need the driver’s warning to see the big Sphendix sign before the building and the tire tracks leading straight to Sphendix’s parking lot.
“Okay, turn around!” he told the driver after memorizing the tire tracks.
He was not upset that this had been their destination. Before they had started following the tracks, Kieran had already had a hunch that they would eventually lead to Sphendix. He had followed them just to be on the safe side.
After all, his effort had not been futile. At least he’d had the opportunity to display his strength. Of course, his decision to show his strength meant that he would have to take Mr. Big’s test later on. Only after he passed that test would he really have shown his strength to Mr. Big. Kieran was sure that the man would be prepared for him, so he had saved up his good equipment especially for him.
Kieran went back to the barber shop and pushed the door open right away.
There was only Mr. Big and Larry inside the shop. No other men were around.
Larry was sitting in the chair, his face covered with shaving cream as Mr. Big’s sharp shaving knife caressed his face softly.
Mr. Big had quite the shaving skills. He shaved Larry’s beard off along with the cream.
It was supposed to be a relaxing process, yet Larry looked close to tears. After all, the man shaving him was Mr. Big, the Underground King himself.
One gaze from Mr. Big was enough to shake the informant’s heart and make him want to bow down before him.
Larry’s eyes lit up when he saw his savior push the door open, but he dared not move a muscle.
The sharp shaving knife had suddenly moved close to his neck.
Kieran saw the sharp knife on Larry’s neck and turned his attention back to Mr. Big, who had just turned around with a friendly expression.
“I gave you the “proof” and “leverage” that you wanted so bad!”
“Yes, you did. Even more so than I expected. But it was a little too much, to the point that I cannot accept it!”
Mr. Big’s manner was still friendly, but his eyes were filled with killing intent.
He wanted to kill Kieran. After confirming the reports sent by his men, the thought of killing him had bloomed inside his heart. He felt threatened by Kieran’s existence, and it was not something that he could tolerate.
Sphendix was enough competition for him, he did not need another opponent. Yet as he faced the unknown, Mr. Big felt the hint of a doubt in his heart. It was because of that doubt that he had decided to meet with Kieran again after setting up an escape-proof net for him.
He wanted Kieran to clear his doubts.
“According to my sources, Sphendix has some kind of terminal illness. He should have been long dead, yet he is still living and kicking. His personality has also changed suspiciously. Using a beast to chew on common people did not use to be his style. Even I, his oldest rival, have been having a hard time figuring out what’s happened, yet you, a complete stranger, can predict the precise location of the attacks and seem to know exactly what he is up to! Can you tell me why?” Mr. Big said slowly.
“It’s because Sphendix has someone like me by his side as well. What’s so special about defying death?” Kieran smiled as he raised his right hand.
A lightning sparkle shone around the room in an instant, making Mr. Big turn his face away. Chapter 120: Underground
Translator: Dess Editor: Efydatia
Lines of lightning circled around Kieran’s right index, middle and ring finger, as if lightning was coming out of his palm.
In fact, the real source of the lightning was the [Lightning Tiger’s Finger] that Kieran had hidden under his sleeve.
However, Kieran frowned because of the ease in killing Broken Finger.
The situation at hand seemed to have exceeded his expectation. He was quite surprised that Broken Finger was able to notice him beforehand.
Kieran had quite the confidence in [Undercover] since it was above Transcendence level right now so he didn’t think it was Broken Finger’s intuition that allowed him to notice Kieran.
Except for one explanation!
“Broken Finger must have shared a special connection with one of his men outside this place other than possessing the secret technique of releasing his soul. He might have even shared a connection with one of the men who fought in Lightning Fortress before and it explained why he could utter the name Devil and looked so terrified when he saw me. If this is not an exception…”
Kieran’s furrowed brows slightly and loosened up because it was a good news for him.
Which was easier for him to deal with, a group of fearless enemies or a group of fearless enemies mixed together with a couple of frightened scaredy cats?
The answer was self-explanatory.
Kieran started to search the place after more thoughts bloomed in his heart, he wanted to search for more information about the Prairies men but he wouldn’t put much hope into it.
He was clear that a spy like Broken Finger that could infiltrate deep into the enemy’s capital would never leave any viable flaws behind and the fact proved as so.
Kieran found a lot of coins and jewels in the place but not a single written record, not even the letters from pigeons delivery.
“They didn’t use pigeons to make communications… So there are other channels?”
Kieran thought in his mind until Bosco brought his men over.
Fire Raven landed on Kieran’s shoulder once again. Kieran touched its head to praise it and it returned an intimate rub on Kieran’s cheek.
Kieran smiled. Fire Raven was to be praised in locating Broken Finger smoothly.
The scouting from high up in the sky was a hard feat even for Kieran himself.
The ability to call out to others was also a plus because it solved the trifling troubles for Kieran. Without the Fire Raven, Kieran would have to run back and forth to bring Bosco and his men there.
There were bodies all outside the house and Bosco saw Broken Finger’s body when he entered the house.
Bosco’s own strength was nothing stellar and it might even be considered as weak but when he saw the wound on Broken Finger’s neck on the ground, he mind still could simulate what happened before.
The outcome made him gasped.
“Shhh! He took his own life?”
Instantly, Bosco’s eyes at Kieran changed because he couldn’t even imagine what Broken Finger who was notorious for his vicious methods had been through, leading him to a path of self-demise.
There weren’t any traces of interrogation either, it felt like Broken Finger was frightened to death when he saw Kieran.
Bosco could still control himself because of some understanding of Kieran’s person but the city guards behind, not so much.
Every one of them were terrified in an unusual way. It jogged their memory of that horrifying night a few days ago, some of the less brave ones even understood why Broken Finger took his own life.
“He killed himself to release his soul from his body, it might be an escape method or secret technique to kill enemies and his identity should be one of the Prairies men…” Kieran explained.
He explained but didn’t try to remove the misunderstanding or the peculiarity because he never cared how some stranger natives view of him.
He wanted Bosco to take into concern the lead and try to find out how Broken Finger made contact with the outsiders. Other than that, the spies infiltrated Riverdale must be flushed out.
Kieran would not believe that there was only a single spy from the enemies, there must be more hidden within the city.
Right after Kieran’s words subsided, he realized the city guards were unable to conceal their terrified face anymore. The few cowardly ones even started to shiver.
Bosco was looking unusual as well.
“The soul was eliminated as well?” Bosco asked in a dry voice.
“Um!” Kieran nodded and walked outside without further caring about the fear on the city guard’s faces.
The city guards quickly opened up a path for Kieran to pass without even making a sound.
When Kieran left the room, he could clearly hear the voices of relief from the city guards.
He shook his head.
Although he didn’t hold much hope on the city guards, experiencing it twice in a row made Kieran realize it was a wishful thinking to rely on the city guards to protect Riverdale.
Broken Finger might even fight to his last resort against fear but these city guards would only beg for their lives and the enemies would slaughter them effortlessly.
If they continued to behave like that, it was safe to say that they were digging their own graves.
Kieran didn’t stop until he went out from the slums.
10 minutes later, Bosco chased behind Kieran.
“Sir 2567, they are just…”
Bosco wanted to explain why the city guards were so unbearable out of instinct but after he started his sentence, he didn’t know how to continue on.
Regardless of what perspective he looked at it, the city guards had all failed their duty.
“Her Highness is back!”
Bosco eventually switched a topic. He was glad that Her Highness had returned that day with a new batch of military supplies, providing him with an ordinary yet perfect topic.
Kieran was stunned. His cold face has slightly softened when he heard the news.
The young girl was the one he valued the most in the current dungeon world because of a similar background and sharing a similar fate, despite her being a native.
But, who could really differentiate between the virtual and reality within a dungeon world? Chapter 596: What You Think
Translator: Dess Editor: EbonyFrost
Kieran saw another squad of soldiers around the street corner.
They looked quite different from the city guards though as they looked sharper not only in terms of arsenal but also spirit. At least when the squad of soldiers saw him, they didn’t forget their duties even though they were afraid and nervous.
“The remaining troops from Lightning Fortress and the imperial guards of the palace?” Kieran wondered.
Lightning Fortress had a total of 3,000 soldiers stationed there all the time and Kieran didn’t kill all of them when he first charged through the fortress. The imperial guards were obviously the soldiers that were loyal to James VIII.
Regardless of how Jeanne used her powerful forces to seize Riverdale single-handedly when she was still alive, a handful of them were still loyal to James VIII.
Still, it was a rare, good piece of news for Kieran.
If he had to rely on those city guards, Kieran really had no idea what they could do except lose their heads to their enemies at the end of the road.
The good news lightened Kieran’s steps.
Although the soldiers were afraid and nervous when he looked at them, Kieran easily felt the soldiers were not too friendly. He still acted calm and confident though.
When Kieran saw Mary at the end of the squad, he curled his lips into a rare smile.
Mary was wearing a pure white knight dress with her blonde hair tied to the back, just like how Kieran remembered her. Her narrow blue eyes had maturity beyond her peers and the short sword around her waist boosted her maturity and increased her valiant presence.
It was hard for a girl to have such a temperament and even though she wasn’t a beautiful girl, she would shine brightly as well.
“Greetings, Mary” Kieran saluted.
Mary nodded slightly. She held her mature temperament together with her integrity but her blues eyes were looking at Kieran like a burning fire.
“Come with me!”
Mary said to Kieran while trying her best in suppressing the impulsive move in her heart.
She then went into one of the houses close by, leaving her soldiers behind. The house was beside a crossroad and the windows were reinforced with wood.
“A temporary command center?”
Kieran was surprised after a quick glance.
Based on what he had seen around the city, even if Mary were to choose a temporary command center, Riverdale Palace would be a much ideal location. Other than its grand decoration, it could be used as a bunker during the actual war.
It also seemed like Mary’s ancestors had thought about the worst case scenario when they built the palace.
The door was closed.
The moment the door was shut, Mary turned around suddenly and ran into Kieran’s arms. She hugged him tightly around his waist and stuffed her face on his chest.
It was quite hard for Mary’s height but it would make her feel better if she could do it.
Mary gave her best effort by tip toeing.
Kieran was frozen though, his hands were wide opened in an unusual way. He was absent of any emotions, expressions, actions or words to reply to her gesture. All he did was stand there like a dummy.
That was until Kieran realized Mary was tipping her feet off the ground to the limit and wanted to jump up to shorten the distance between them.
Kieran’s senses came back to him right away. He didn’t move his body but placed his idled hands on Mary’s shoulder lightly and unusually, thus calming Mary down when she tried to jump up.
Mary frowned hard that a small bulge appeared in the middle of her brows.
“You owe me a farewell… So you should compensate me!” She said.
“Um… So I came back.” Kieran smiled.
“I want something else!” Mary emphasized.
“Something else… But we have more important matters at hand. The Prairies spies have infiltrated Riverdale. Although Bosco is already on it, I don’t think he can get anything out of his search. Those spies possess the secret techniques of the Prairies men and we need some mystical individuals to deal with them.” Kieran changed to topic right away but it sounded forced.
“You owe me a compensation!” Mary wasn’t distracted at all and emphasized her intentions.
Kieran nodded once more after thinking for a while to balance out his priorities.
He felt Mary’s arms around his waist was getting tighter. The power came from the gaps of [Armor of Excellence] as if she could ignore the defenses of the equipment and reached him directly.
Kieran raised a puzzled brow right after he was relieved. He noticed something unusual about Mary.
“What is it?” Kieran asked.
“He is ready to give up. He wants me to bring a portion of the people and retreat to the south and he intended to end his life here, as for how a king should be. The foolish, ridiculous pride of a king!” Mary said in a mocking tone.
Kieran who tilted his head down noticed the helplessness and unwilling sadness on the little girl.
Mary tilted her head down even more when Kieran looked at her. She hugged him tighter and stuffed her face onto the cold armor plate.
It felt like the persistence of hers was trying to hold on to the slightest of hope when she had fallen into despair, like the last hope of a drowning victim.
Kieran took in a deep breath and slightly shut his eyes. He clearly felt the girl was helpless and hesitating. Her impulsive move was not just because of her feelings but also the instinct of requesting help.
She had gotten attached to Kieran after going through a life and death situation with him, and now it was like a stray puppy that had gotten a temporary shelter from the rain.
Kieran opened up his eyes and it shone slightly. He squatted down and looked at the girl at her eye level.
With a flap of her wings, she was like lightning!
An even stronger burst of sparks blossomed in the air!
The enormous insect clearly could not stand against it and was forced half a zhang back, the rock under its feet shattering.
In a killing mood, Silly Bird furiously attacked!
Clink clink clink!
The enormous insect repeatedly fell back, the rock under its feet continuously shattering and being powdered under the repeated blows! Ripples spread outwards with the enormous insect as the center!
The body of the enormous worm continuously sank. Like it was a pillar of wood, it was being hammered into the ground!
It finally showed hints of terror but it was not so easy to escape a berserk Silly Bird! Silly Bird’s attacks were like a storm and the enormous insect didn’t even have a chance to breathe, much less escape.
If it wasn’t for its freakishly strong armor, it would have died long ago.
At the side, Zuo Mo gaped with wide eyes.
He had come with the panicked thought of rescue but at this time, there was only one thought in his mind, this insect was pitiful!
Of course, he pitied it but definitely would not rescue it!
He was also drooling as he looked at the freakishly strong armor of the insect. An armor that could stand up against such ferocious attacks was definitely a treasure! If he took this armor and made ling armor, he wouldn’t even need to dodge normal flying swords.
At this time, a sudden change happened!
The insect that had been on the defense all this time suddenly opened its mouth and spat out a ball of black energy. Silly Bird was caught unprepared and was hit by the black energy.
Silly Bird’s body suddenly froze, she lost control and dropped to the ground!
Dreaming about the ling armor, Zuo Mo hadn’t expected the insect to do this. He acted to attack when he saw the situation!
Yet he hadn’t expected to see Silly Bird sway like she was drunk as she leapt up from the ground.
Zuo Mo was slightly reassured. It seemed that Silly Bird didn’t have a major problem. He looked attentively at the enormous worm. If it showed any signs of ill intent towards Silly Bird, he would attack viciously. But the enormous insect also showed tiredness. That ball of black smoke probably was not something it could release easily.
The enormous insect stared at Zuo Mo and hissed from its mouth as its body retreated.
It wanted to escape!
Zuo Mo instantly judged the insect’s intentions. He decided to attack!
How could he let such a treasure slip from his hands?
Suddenly, a high and sharp shriek came from beside him and penetrated his ear. Zuo Mo’s expression changed and reflexively covered his ears! The rock on the cave ceiling started to fall and the fear the enormous insect held grew!
Silly Bird attack again!
Just like before, the enormous insect curled into a ball with its front limbs covering its face.
Just as Silly Bird was going to touch the insect’s body, her diving attack suddenly turned into a snatching motion!
Zuo Mo looked with shock as Silly Bird grabbed the enormous worm that was much larger than her, lifting it into the air like a condor grabbing a sheep!
The enormous insect instantly panicked, its six limbs dancing as it hissed.
Zuo Mo seemed to see Silly Bird smile viciously as she carried the enormous insect and then used her body as a pivot to swing the insect!
The enormous insect was like a hammer that left the hand. With a howl, it hit the wall of the cavern!
An enormous sound, the cave shuddered and rock rained down!
Zuo Mo had a feeling that the cave was going to collapse!
No matter how hard of armor it had, the enormous insect was left stunned by this smash. It laid down in a pit of shattered rock. This was a pit that had been caused by its collision!
Before it could struggle up, its body suddenly felt light.
It was grabbed into the air again!
Rocks hit Zuo Mo’s body but he didn’t notice them at all. He gaped at this crazy scene in front of him!
In a berserk rage, Silly bird threw the enormous insect over and over and the insect was like a hammer that was swung again and again and then struck the ground, the ceiling, the walls and the stalagmites. If one wasn’t seeing it with their own eyes, no one could have thought that there was such terrifying strength in Silly Bird’s not-so-powerful looking body!
Zuo Mo shook. At the same time, Tenth Grade that was gaping in the corner also shook.
So scary … …
Five hundred and fifty one … … five hundred and fifty two … …
One should offend a villain before offending Silly Bird!
Silly Bird! What kind of silly bird was this? This was clearly a brute bird!
The freakishly strong insect body was not freakish enough compared to Silly Bird and was split into five pieces!
Silly Bird finally threw away the insect legs in her claws with satisfaction, raised her bird head and stalked her female bird walk as she left. In the entire process, she didn’t even glance at Zuo Mo.
We are generous and won’t argue with a brutish bird … …
It was impossible for non-freakish people to argue!
Zuo Mo went to clean up the insect corpse with great self-awareness.
Pitiful insect, didn’t it just spit out a mouthful of black smoke? It was smashed to death! So pitiful!
“Daren! Daren! This is great! This is a wonderful thing!” Gu Ming Gong rubbed his hands as he looked with bright eyes at the five pieces of the insect corpse in front of him excitedly. “This is the first time this subordinate has seen such a large deep granite leaf insect! Is this the insect queen? Right right right, this is the insect queen!”
Zuo Mo knew that the insect was something good, but he did not recognize it so he brought it to Gu Ming Gong’s for appraised. He believed that with Gu Ming Gong’s knowledge, he would definitely recognize it.
“Deep granite leaf insect?”
“Deep granite leaf insects mostly live in dark and deep caverns. They are extremely reliant on earth energy. Normal deep granite leaf insects are a cun long and each group will have an insect queen. What is most useful about the deep granite leaf insect is its armor! This is the famous black gold leaf armor!”
The excited Gu Ming Gong spoke quickly.
“Each black gold leaf shell is just a bit larger than a willow leaf, it naturally has exceptional defensives. With three hundred pieces, it is possible to forge a black wave leaf armor, that is fifth-grade ling armor!”
Zuo Mo thought of the dense layer of insect corpses in the cave and was instantly excited. So many corpses, there was hundreds of thousands!
Fifth-grade ling armor
Zuo Mo’s mind was blown by this good fortune that had dropped out of the sky!
Gu Ming Gon did not notice Zuo Mo’s expression. He looked with a burning gaze at the five pieces of insect corpse in front of him, his voice filled with disbelieving excitement. “This insect corpse is even better! Using this, this subordinate has the confidence to forge a sixth-grade ling armor which can rank on the talisman rankings! Such a perfect insect queen is almost unbelievable!”
Sixth-grade ling armor that could go rank in the talisman rankings!
Zuo Mo almost fainted. He had never worn sixth-grade ling armor!
A sixth-grade ling armor that could go onto the talisman ranking, would he become jindan just by putting it on … …
“This expert really has uncanny skill! Even able to dismember the insect queen, really powerful! Look at this cut, clean and without any hesitation … …”
Gu Ming Gon’s expression was intoxicated.
Zuo Mo shook and returned to normality.
He thought of a certain brute bird.
On the Yinyang Twin Butterfly, Tenth Grade was completely naked, black energy shrouding his entire body. His eyes were tightly closed and clearly was at an important time.
Threads of black energy continuously came out of his body and entered the black butterfly wing under his feet. What was strange was that the border between black and white was not pushing towards the white wing, but into the black.
Each thread of black energy seemed to be nutrients for the white wing, nurturing it.
Gradually, a light layer of white light appeared on the white wing.
Dots of white light shed off the white wing and floated upwards. When it reached the same height as Tenth Grade, these dots of white light gathered into a ball to become a rice-sized ball of white light.
When the ball formed, the speed it absorbed white light suddenly increased.
The white light on the white wing was quickly absorbed and its body became the same size as Tenth Grade.
Tenth Grade opened its eyes. Looking at the white ball of light, it showed rare joy.
He sat with legs crossed and waited silently.
Zuo Mo: I’m here, I’m here, watch the Scalping Zombie save you … … oh … … didn’t have to fight and there is so much treasure on the ground! Jingshi! What can I say, I like this novel already. The main character knows what he wants and will go any lengths to get it. Just a novel that I wanted. Thank you for suggesting it to me. I know it was said to be called “Cut Immortal”, however when I checked the actual Chinese word it translated to “To behead Immortal”. So i just wanted to stick more closely to the real meaning if you’re wondering why the name is different. Just a problem I encountered is that each chapter is divided into two, and each part as long as one regular chapter in any other novel. Therefore, when I translate one chapter, it’s as long as two chapters pretty much. I just wanted to put it out there meaning it will take me twice or thrice the usual time to finish translating. Hopefully this one I will not lose interest so we can enjoy the story together.?? Enjoy!
People say that when you are dying, you will remember a lot of things, especially the regretful past. Most people are not willing, Yang Chen is now in that situation.
First thing that flashed in his mind, Yang Chen, after being accused wrongly, now is in a dangerous situation. The culprit in front of Yang Chen proudly shouted, Yang Chen is wounded, he can’t resist.
“I killed people, and that’s what I do, so what? Now who’s going to believe you? You’re the killer!” Grinning with his face, in front of Yang Chen very clearly said: “To tell you, I got news, the young master, I killed her, and I blamed you, so what?”
“You are despicable!” Yang Chen heavily wounded, unable to do anything just said those words.
“What is it with you? You think you are worthy of the Zhu Guo(Fruit)? Do you not look at yourself?” Yang Xi sneered loudly: “Was I worse to wish for the young master’s Zhu Guo, now I’m an assassin. The high grade Zhu Guo is now my reward for killing you. I blamed you, you even handed the Zhu Guo without emotion, did you not feel anything? You son of a bitch, you are my tenant, and for you to possess the fruit? You also even dared to refuse my request?”
The second to scene appears, Yang Chen’s beautiful master, refusing to learn a skill, decided to kill herself instead.
“Yang Chen, go leave, never think about getting revenge for me, live, go!” The beautiful master’s farewell, the look in her eyes, even when he was dying, Yang Chen can feel the wrenching pain.
“Master, its my fault! Blame me for hurting you!” Yang Chen knelt before her choking with tears.
Because of the Zhu Guo, Yang Xi framed Yang Chen, now even implicating the door division. The main door(something like a sect) suddenly discovered the beautiful master of Yang Chen turned out to have acquired special roots, at once ordered her to learn the ancient cauldron skill. Four Yuan Ying monks too, surrounded the Chunyang Palace, at the moment there is no way out.
“Yang Chen, go!” The beautiful master with firm eyes, nothing changed. An encirclement outside has been set up, and Yang Chen looked at her one last time.
“My master!” Yang Chen cried bitterly for dozens of miles.
